I love Mrs. Morgenthaler because if we are absent, she always saves the fun stuff for us to do when we get back. I like her because she makes school fun!! Rebecca Gordon, 3rd Grader Thank you to Mrs. Okun for teaching me about Jewish celebrations and reading books about Jewish holidays, you are best teacher! Alexandra Gusinski, 1st Grader Hi, this is Bennett, I just wanted to say how amazingly awesome this year was for me. I really loved the marriage wedding ceremony and the really fun games we sometimes played at the end of every Hebrew School day. Thank you so much! I learned so much this year and I know so much more about Hebrew than I knew last year. Once again, thank you so much! Bennett Kass, 4th Grader My teacher (Scott Newman) is one-of-a- kind. He really loves to engage us in discussions. He always makes class fun and interesting. He’s there for his students and wants all of us to learn and grow. He’s the coolest! Sammy Spingola, 7th grader My teacher (Mrs. Schechter) is passionate about teaching and always wants to help the children. She’s encouraging, helpful and interesting. She’s always there for us when we need her and has a great personality. She creates a good learning environment. Brynn Spingola, 4th grader Erica (Santiago) is very nice, is a very good teacher and knows a lot about the subject. Dylan Johnson, 7th Grader Mrs. Stern really helped Lexi learn and understand the prayers and I saw a marked improvement this year due to her help and patience. Parent of Lexi Schultz, 6th Grader From the Marantz family: Scott Newman is everything a great teacher ought to be: patient, calm, accepting, easygoing, quick to laugh, eager to connect with his students and perhaps most importantly, he always seems to believe in his students' ability to succeed. Mr. C (Carruthers) taught me so much about being Jewish and Jewish traditions and he made Hebrew school so so much fun. Eleanor Lapin, 5th Grader Ms. Okun, I like that we do all fun stuff in our Sunday School class like making the posters for our service on Friday. I like hearing the Jewish stories and eating challah! Thank you for being my teacher! Brett Shaulson, 1st Grade Mrs. Stern, Thank you so much for working so hard with me on learning my Hebrew prayers this year. Skylar Rubin, 6th Grade Morah Stern always has great art projects for us about the week's Torah portion or a holiday. Reese Johnson, 2nd Grade Mr. C (Carruthers) is a really fun teacher and he is learning a lot! Parent of David Siegel, 5th Grade Mrs. Schechter: I really enjoyed learning about the history of the Jewish people from you. You know so much! Mrs. Schechter is the BEST and she always loves coming to her class. Parent of Jackie Siegel, 4th Grade Braeden Rubin, 4th Grade Mrs. Pitkoff is a great teacher. She is very nice and I learned a lot about the holocaust this year. Dylan Johnson, 7th Grade Mrs. Pitkoff: I like her because she give us humungous pieces of challah. And I like that she takes us to the library. Alissa Brickel, Kindergarten Mrs. Stern: I like how she’s always nice to us. And that she tells us great stories. Joshua Brickel, 2nd Grade The Saturday Shabbat Family Program offers an excellent opportunity to learn together as a family while promoting social action in a meaningful way. As lives get busier and more hectic, it was nice to have time to explore with each other what it means to be Jewish and to reflect on the importance of Shabbat. Parent of Samantha Heller, 7th Grader Wish I had this innovative religious Sunday school education program back in my day. A wonderful learning environment for students and parents, Betsy Stone is incredible and we have met some really engaged, giving congregants in our community to boot. Parent of Hunter Barocas, 7th grader Mrs. Schechter can be very funny, especially when she uses her sarcasm. She makes it easy and fun to learn. Asher Berni, 4th Grade Scott (Newman) is awesome! He is a great teacher. He is also a great person to be around. He makes class so much fun. Erica (Santiago) is great. She is lots of fun and is a great person to be around. She's done a great job during her first year teaching at Temple Sinai. Olivia Berni, 7th Grade Scott (Newman) is the best teacher, he's really funny and gets our humor. He incorporates fun into learning. Dylan Johnson, 7th Grade Michael said that he appreciated when Mrs. Morgenthaler helped him learn Hebrew words.
