Q: How to setup SMS and MMS functions in the NV DVR system?
A: Taking NV7000 for example,
1. Please click Setup button on the bottom of NV7000 main screen.
2. Please enter your NV7000 Account and click OK button.
3. Please click Alarm button.
4. Please click Add button on the left below corner of this Alarm Setting page, and
setup conditions and Action. For the Action, please check SMS/MMS and click Detail
button.
5. Before click Modem Setup button, please connect GSM Modem to your PC com
port. If GSM Modem connected the COM 2 of your PC, please change com port on
the below com port. Then, please click Modem Setup button.
6. If com port matched your GSM Modem, you can see below Message after you
click Modem Setup.
7. If you don’t setup any modem on your PC, you can see below Message. Then ,
please Click “確定” button.
8. Right now you will install new Modem. Please check “don’t detect any modem”
and click “Next” button.
9. Windows will automatically detect your modem.
10. Windows shows that it can’t detect any Modem, and please click “Next” Button.
11. From below the list, in the Manufacturer area please click (Standard Modem
Types). In the Models area, please choose “Standard 33600 bps Modem” and click
Next button.
12. Please click “Selected ports” optional button and select COM1. Then, please click
Next button.
13. When you set up properly, Windows shows up the below Message. Please Click
Finish Button.
14. You can see the new modem in the Modem area. Please click OK button to leave.
15. Please fill the phone number, SIM card inserted in the GSM modem, in Local
Phone Number text box. Then, please fill another phone number which you want to
receive alarm messages from NV 7000. You don’t have to change Modem Baud Rate.
16. If you want to receive alarm messages from NV 7000, please check Enable. Also,
please type alarm message in the Message Text Box.
17. If you want to obtain the picture of the camera, please check Enable. You need to
ask your cell phone company to provide APN, Wap Proxy IP or Wap Gateway IP, and
MMSC URL. If you have these information, please fill in.
18. Finally, please click Save button, test it.
