hett’s Restaurant, Personal Chef & Catering is a chefowned and operated restaurant. Born in North Carolina
and raised just outside of Winston-Salem, Rhett Morris
grew up with a passion for fly fishing and hunting. He especially
enjoyed time outdoors with family and friends. Rhett’s true passion
started during a summer job at a barbecue restaurant.
“It didn’t seem like work
to me at all,” Morris says. “I
loved being around food, and
even more than eating it, I
loved the preparation.”
At Rhett’s, we use fresh fruits
and vegetables in all of our
dishes. We believe in using N.C.
products whenever possible
and building relationships
with local farmers. The N.C.
Department of Agriculture
named Rhett’s the 2012 Best
Dish NC Winner in the fine
dining category. The bounty of
fresh, local ingredients seasoned with culinary expertise in dishes
that will make your taste buds dance with joy!
Rhett’s creates Southern gourmet meals in a relaxed dining
environment. Catering to individuals and groups, we create hors
d’oeuvres, meals and party platters for private dining, cocktail parties
and events. We offer take-out lunches and dinners that are healthier
than fast food options, which can also be customized for any taste
or dietary preference. Additionally, our menu’s rotate seasonally. We
feature specials made from fresh, local ingredients and a variety of
fresh baked breads, cakes and cookies. Rhett’s goal is to create a
consistent fine-dining experience in a casual environment for our
customers to enjoy.
Lunch is served beginning at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
We offer a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches on our regular
Lunch Menu and a table top Dessert Menu. Starting at 2:30 p.m.,
we have an Afternoon Offerings Menu featuring lighter selections
as well as beer, wine and cocktails. Our Happy Hours menu features
weekly drink specials available during our afternoon hours (2:30–
4:30 p.m.). Dinner service begins at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through
Saturday. We have a full Dinner Menu that rotates seasonally. If
you like more of a tapas-style meal, try our Just a Taste Menu,
offered during our dinner service. These are smaller portions that
are great for a starter, or order several for sharing. You can order off
of one or both menus, mix and match to your culinary taste. Our
Sweet Endings dinner dessert menu will end your night perfectly.
When it comes to relaxing, Rhett’s has just the beverage to help
you unwind. We offer our regular Wine List (by the glass or bottle),
a Reserve Wine List (by the bottle), Specialty Cocktails, and a
variety of featured N.C. Beers. We offer a full bar, and many of our
cocktails are made with fresh herbs and fruits, juiced on sight. Ask
to see our Juice Menu, if you just need a quick pick-me-up.
Environment is equally important to us, as we offer indoor seating
in our bar area or main dining room as well as outdoor seating in
our courtyard (weather permitting). Friday and Saturday evenings,
we feature a variety of local, live music. Throughout the year, we
host events, such as our Valentine Wine Dinner or Holiday Preview
