orn out of a passion for innovative
communication solutions, Creatr!x
specializes in the design and development of customized web sites.
When Corina Fong, Sophie Davari and
Jean Dalgleish met at a Graphic & Web
Designer Meet-Up in 2011, they found
they had something in common. A
mission to use their unique backgrounds
in graphic design, fine art and interaction
design to produce user-friendly, attractive and compelling web sites.
Creatr!x was formed to embrace our
client’s web design and application
needs. Before designing, we gain an
understanding of a clients’ business
requirements and are invested in bringing the best possible online experience
to the user. We deliver each project with
care, passion and purpose.
Like a customer walking into Starbucks,
we recognize that each company has
different needs and will require a
different set of ingredients to deliver the
perfect beverage — or design solution.
It’s our job to determine the exact
amount of espresso, milk and foam — or
content, structure and design — to make
your web site work the way you expect
it to. Knowing our client will be more
than satisfied by the finished product
continues to be our motivation.

T
he logo design process began with
the Rarify design team. Their original
sketches were transfered to Creatr!x for
further design and implementation.
It represents artistic and energetic
authority; boldness which is used to
target youth and a high-end audience.
The orange suggests playfulness, creativity and energy. Being bright makes
orange the favourite color for industries
dealing with a young market. Black has
a calming effect, but with an underlying
sense of simplicity.
The font — “Bree Serif” — is a young and
energetic upright font that approaches
readers with hip and elegant charm. The
slab-serif makes for a strong impression.
It offers fluid and attractive forms that
convey a contemporary and lively aspect.
It’s originality will remain timeless for
years to come. Using all lowercase
letters increases the word readability and
proves the company is trend conscious.
The t-shirt icon gives the logo it’s
immediate context and makes the brand
recognizable and memorable. The
reversed “y” further establishes the logo
with a punch of colour and flare.
For branding, the elements of the bold
slab-serif type would be carried through
and the orange would be used for highlighted elements. Squared corners and a
clean design would be evident. The grey
(70% black) could be used for contrast.
