Located on the Land
To accommodate the hunters, a lodge that sleeps
7 plus support staff, is located on the Southern
tract and has electricity powered by a Propane
generator and a good water well that supplies water
to all improvements.
In addition to the lodge an A-Frame cabin is
also located on this tract, however the structure is in need of repairs, and overlooks a
major stream that meanders across the
Southern portion of the property.
Also not far from the main cabin, there is a caretakers cabin also in need of repair. Both the caretaker’s cabin and the A-Frame are very solid
buildings but do require some attention.
All structures have a separate generator
for electricity and the views from these
dwellings are just spectacular.

The Ranch
This might just be one of New Mexico’s best kept secret…
Nestled in the high country 14 miles East of
Tierra Amarilla lies
Septima Ranch
5463 Acres (Approximately)
Approx. 3,863 acres in the Northern parcel bordering
New Mexico Highway 64
(this links Tierra Amarilla to the City of Taos)
Approx. 1,600 acres in the Southern tract with a
common border with The Carson National Forest.
This offering offers the very best Elk hunting in the area
with approximately 28 New Mexico Game and Fish
Agency Elk tags issued each year.

Also located on the land...
Also located on the Southern tract is a pond of about 1.5 acres in size and could possibly
be developed into a fishing pond, but would require a huge amount of management.
The Carson National Forest can be accessed in the Southern tract and fishing
can be found along the Rio Nutrias.
Elk are plentiful on the ranch as evidenced by the number of hunting tags that are allotted
each year.
Other species seen on the ranch are varmints, Rabbits, Bear, Mountain Lion and a few
Mule Deer are also seen during the hunting season.

Location Details
Interior roads on the property are in very
good condition and they require grading
work on an annual basis.
The main entrance to the
Septima is located on Highway 64 and deeded easements exist for 4miles through
neighboring tracts
provide access to the
Southern portion of
the Ranch.

The Weather
Access to the ranch is readily easy during the warmer parts of the year. However to access
the ranch during the Winter months would require a snowmobile. Many times due to heavy
snowfall Highway 64 is closed several times during the winter.
The current owners lease the ranch out
to a local rancher for Summer grazing
and the hunting tags are sold to a reputable guiding service, however there are
no long term contracts on the grazing or
hunting.

The Eco System and more
The Septima is an absolute
beautiful eco system of its own
with tall Ponderosa Pines on the
slopes and Quakie Aspens in the
draws and valleys.
There are many points on the ranch that the view goes for miles exposing the grandeur of God’s creation..
In addition to the hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, wildlife watching, and excursions into the Carson Forest
are among the unlimited activities provided by the ownership of this one of a kind property.
