Since 1917, The Urban League of Philadelphia has been empowering the African American community. We advocate for political equality, promote diversity and inclusion, and create economic independence. We are an affiliate of the National Urban League, the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. Our Connect 360 Strategic Plan clearly defines our function as a bridge connecting individuals, civic organizations, corporations, and public officials in the Greater Philadelphia region.
