Project Cornerstone School District Reporting School District: Cambrian School District Year: 2015-2016 Quarter:Q1 and Q2 LCAP/LCFF Priorities: School Climate and Parent Engagement Parent Engagement The following schools are offering the ABC program: Bagby Elementary Fammatre Elementary Farnham Elementary Parent Training The following school hosted a 6-week Take It Personally workshop: Ida Price MS There are 91 parents volunteering at these schools impacting approximately 1,154 students monthly. The parents volunteer approximately 273 hours each month at your schools in the ABC program. This includes training, preparation, and classroom time. 18 parents participated in this workshop. The ABC lead volunteers have received support from Project Cornerstone’s staff to implement the program and they attend the monthly training meetings hosted by Project Cornerstone. The training meeting is a review of the book and lesson from the previous month as well as preparation for the upcoming book and lesson. The monthly meeting is designed to be a “train the trainer” model enabling the ABC lead to return to the school site and train the ABC readers for the book of the month. Each of the parent volunteers puts approximately 3 hours per month to train, prepare, and deliver the lesson per class. Student Engagement The Expect Respect workshop was provided for students at: Bagby Elementary Farnham Elementary Sartorette Elementary 82 students attended these trainings. Each school site student team developed a school wide plan to improve school climate. They will implement the plan throughout the year with the support of their Expect Respect Club Advisor. Note: 100% of your elementary and middle schools are involved with Project Cornerstone programs and services. Each school site student team developed a school wide plan to improve school climate. They will implement the plan throughout the year with the support of their Expect Respect Club Advisor. The parents volunteer approximately 1,857 hours each month at your schools in the ABC and Middle School programs. This includes training, preparation, and direct time with students. The parents volunteer approximately 264 hours each month at your schools in the ABC and Los Dichos programs. This includes training, preparation, and lesson delivery time. The Los Dichos and ABC lead volunteers have received support from Project Cornerstone’s staff to implement the program and they attend the monthly training meetings hosted by Project Cornerstone. The training meeting is a review of the book and lesson from the previous month as well as preparation for the upcoming book and lesson. The monthly meeting is designed to be a “train the trainer” model enabling the Los Dichos and ABC leads to return to the school site and train the ABC and Los Dichos readers for the book of the month. Hardin Elementary Parent Training Two Take It Personally 6-week workshops will take place in the spring. There are 59 parents volunteering at these schools impacting approximately 883 students monthly. The parents volunteer approximately 177 hours each month at your schools in the Los Dichos program. This time includes training, preparation, and classroom time. The Los Dichos lead volunteers have received support from Project Cornerstone’s staff to implement the program and they attend the monthly training meetings hosted by Project Cornerstone. The training meeting is a review of the book and lesson from the previous month as well as preparation for the upcoming book and lesson. The Hollister School District Los Dichos Parents Project Cornerstone School District Reporting School District: Las Lomitas Elementary School District Year: 2015-2016 Quarter: Q1 and Q2 LCAP/LCFF Priorities: School Climate and Parent Engagement Parent Engagement La Entrada School is involved with the ABC program and the Middle School program. There are 25 parents volunteering in these programs impacting approximately 400 students monthly. The parents volunteer approximately 75 hours each month at your schools in the ABC and Los Dichos programs. This includes training, preparation, and classroom time. The ABC lead volunteer has received support from Project Cornerstone’s staff to implement the program and they attend the monthly training meetings hosted by Project Cornerstone. The training meeting is a review of the book and lesson from the previous month as well as preparation for the upcoming book and lesson. The monthly meeting is designed to be a “train the trainer” model enabling the ABC lead to return to the school site and train the ABC readers for the book of the month. The student team developed a school wide plan to improve school climate. They will implement the plan throughout the year with the support of their Expect Respect Club Advisor. Student Engagement The Expect Respect workshop was provided for students at Loyola Elementary. 100 students attended the training. The student team developed a school wide plan to improve school climate. They will implement the plan throughout the year with the support of their Expect Respect Club Advisor. There are 203 parents volunteering at these schools impacting approximately 2,843 students monthly. The parents volunteer approximately 609 hours each month at your schools in the ABC and middle school programs. The Expect Respect facilitator worked with Graham staff to bring the program to all 830 students there. 3 parents participated in these trainings. Parent Training A table was staffed at the Palo Alto School Services Faire on October 8, 2015 which was attended by 75 community members. Staff Engagement An Introduction to Asset Building training was attended by 40 staff at the Palo Alto USD district office on August 5, 2015. A consultation was held for 4 parent volunteers at Hoover elementary on September 15, 2015. The parents volunteer approximately 369 hours each month at your schools in the ABC program. The parents volunteer approximately 228 hours each month at your schools in the ABC and middle school programs. These hours include preparation, training, and delivering the program. The school site student team developed a school wide plan to improve school climate. They will implement the plan throughout the year with the support of their Expect Respect Club Advisor.
