Our Visit to Christmas Land at Bluestone
Our Visit to Christmasland at Bluestone
2010
One of the children in Mrs. Day’s class won a painting competition and the prize was
a whole class visit to Christmasland in Bluestone. Wow!!
It was a snowy day but this did not stop the children travelling to Christmasland on
an old fashioned bus. The children were excited and so were their teachers.
Here is a moose which was near the welcoming tent. He was huge but very still.
Here is an elf who has lost parts of Santa’s sleigh. He asked the children to help him
find the missing pieces. He was a very funny elf.
Here is Mother Christmas who taught the children how to decorate gingerbread men.
The children were supposed to bring the gingerbread men home but many ate them
on the bus on the way back to school. Mother Christmas was very kind.
Here are some of the girls decorating their gingerbread men.
Do you like the blue smarties they used for their eyes?
Can you see the special passport which allows you to go into the wonderful place
called Christmasland?
How many dishes can you count?
How many different coloured smarties can you see? (Now that is difficult!)
Here is the Wrapping and Parcel Office which puts the Christmas presents into sacks
for boys and girls in different countries. How many clocks are on the wall?
In the design room which makes new toys we met a special elf.
This elf had a very special job. It was her task to take the good children to see Santa.
Here the elf is asking the Head Master who has been good and, more importantly,
who has been naughty. The Head Master said that the children had been particularly
well behaved all week because they did not want to miss the trip to Christmasland.
I wonder who is this kind old man?
Every child had a present from Santa and so did the teachers. Now wasn’t that kind.
We all had a wonderful time and saw many wonderful things. We were even allowed
to play in the adventure playground before we had to leave to go home.
Thank you ever so much Bluestone.
