TO LOOKOUT MTN TO PARKDALE NF NF 12 S Fa ah lls ali Tra e il Sahalie Falls 0 Wildlife Beach Distance Marker Peak TO WHITE RIVER 48 NF 81 CAMPGROUND TO NF 48 One Mile Grid Directions to Bonney Butte Migration Site Getting there (from Portland) • • • • • • • • • • • • • Head east on I-84 toward Troutdale Take exit 16 for 238th Dr toward Wood Village Turn right onto NE 238th Dr Continue on NE 238th Dr which becomes SE 242nd Dr/NE Hogan Dr After roughly 3 miles, turn left onto NE Burnside Rd/US-26 E After roughly 40 miles, exit onto US-35 N toward Hood River After 4.7 miles (just after passing over White River) turn right onto paved NF-48 After 6.8 miles (watch odometer closely) turn left onto unmarked/paved NF-4890 After 3.6 miles at 4-way intersection turn left onto four-wheel drive NF4891 following signs for Bonney Meadows Keep right to stay on NF-4891 (passing several spur roads) and after 4.2 miles (just past Bonney Meadows Campground) park in unmarked Bonney Butte parking area on the right side of the road The old lookout tower four-wheel drive road and hiking route to the summit will be across from the parking area marked by a gate Hike the old four-wheel drive road for 0.5 miles to Bonney Butte Summit (5,590')
