MyCollection replenishes the existing own hair in
an ingenious way with high-quality human hair.

MyCollection hairpieces are light as feathers and
come with different fabric structures: some with a wide
mesh netting, others with a fine-mesh net – depending on
how much of your own hair is still there. They are integrated
into the own hair individually, thus giving it just the right hair
volume and hair length, respectively.

Which type of fastening
is best for me?
MyCollection gives you the choice between socalled „sometimes“ and „permanent“ attachment
methods. If you want to put in and take out the hair integration whenever you feel like it, you should go for „sometimes“. Even though the „permanent“ fastening you
will have to see your specialist every 4-5 weeks, it gives
you maximum security when doing sports, swimming, etc.
In the meantime you can shower, wash you hair, swim, etc.
without any problems.
Can you see that I am wearing
hair integration?
MyCollection invisibly blends in with your own hair.
Unlike with wigs, there is no firm base construction that
would change your face. Everything stays as you are used
to, only nicer, more voluminous, or even longer – just like
you want it.
Can I style my hair as usual?
The wellness hair integration is individually integrated and adapted by your specialist for hairpieces
and wigs. After that you can style your hair into many different hairdos. Since it is human hair, the hair can be blowdried, curled, or straightened.
Can I also change
the hair colour?
Generally it is possible to change the hair colour,
but not to bleach it. If you want highlights, this should be
taken into consideration when you place your order.
Can I go swimming?
Yes, without any restrictions and with absolute confidence. All MyCollection fastening types are designed to
withstand constant contact with water. The same holds true
for the base. It goes without saying that the integrated human hair does not react any differently to water than your
own hair.
Does the fastening
damage my hair?
No, your own hair is replenished extremely gently.
The MyCollection fastening techniques have stood the test
of time for many years. Your own hair can grow without
hindrance and is not damaged in any way.
What do I do if I have to apply
prescribed tinctures?
No problem - in this case you should choose the removable „sometimes“ fastening technique. That way
you can apply any ointments and tinctures before putting
on the hair integration.
Is my health insurance
company going to pay
towards the cost?
Only your doctor or dermatologist can determine
the medical need for wigs and hairpieces. As and
when required, they will write a prescription that can then
be handed in with the health insurance company. The extent
to which the costs are taken over can vary from health insurance company to health insurance company and has to be
enquired individually.

„PERMANENT“
Every four to five weeks, the hair integration is going to be taken out by the salon service, regenerated,
and fastened again. In the meantime, you can treat your hair as usual. Washing, blow-drying, styling –
everything is done just like with your own hair.

This method has stood the test of time over many years with so-called permanent fastening. The WELLNESS hair integration is fastened by applying tiny
glue dots along the edge. They can hardly be felt, are inconspicuous but still
stay securely in place. They also allow you to do sports without any problems.
After 5 weeks, the fastening points are dissolved and redone again.
Secure, permanent fastening
with only little effort.
The so-called „EasyHair“ tube method needs no glue at all and is therefore
ideally suited for people with allergies as well. The tubes match the colour of
the hair, and are pressed flat, so that they are basically invisible underneath
the hair. To release them they are simply „cracked open“.

on your hair and scalp, because no glue or solvents
are used.

These two fastening methods allow you to choose when you want to wear your hair integration, and
when you want to take it out. Just as you like it and without professional assistance. In no time at all,
you are elegantly and freshly styled again, and any kind of hair problem is perfectly concealed.

Only 4 - 6 hair clips – which are available in different colours and sizes –
are enough to easily and quickly fasten the hair integration in your
own hair, without much effort. And with just as little effort, the clips can
be opened again to take your hair system out.
The hair integration can be put in or
taken out independently from a visit to
a salon. You can for example decide if
you want to sleep with it in or out.
In case of proper bald patches, hair integrations can also be attached
with special, double-sided adhesive tapes. They will be attached to the
inside of the hair integration system and then stick for up to 14 days,
maybe even longer.

Why do women come
into your practice?
How much hair loss
is still normal?
Livia Zanardo: The causes for hair loss can generally be
very varied. However, the main reason is loss of hair due
to hormonal causes. I also have got patients suffering from
alopecia areata (round patches of hair loss), and patients
suffering from hair loss caused by internal diseases or certain medication.
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Lutz: This is a topic of debate
among specialists. Many text books claim that a loss of 100
hairs a day is still normal. From experience I can say: losing 60
to 80 hairs a day over a longer period of time definitely can be
classified as clinical findings that have to be clarified.
What is the psychological
impact on women who are
faced with that problem?
Livia Zanardo: Every woman who loses her hair feels that
she is also losing part of her natural attractiveness. Adding
to that is the general uncertainty of not knowing what is
happening with your body. It is clearly visible from the hair
loss that something is wrong. The woman feels exposed and
under pitiful scrutiny.
How do you help
these patients?
Livia Zanardo: For most patients it is already a great relief
that their problem is taken seriously at last. In many cases,
the only reaction they get is a derisive smile or a shrug. An
extensive anamnesis is vital for the medical side of things.

This is then followed by a thorough examination, and, if necessary, a further referral to other specialists. Ideally a suitable treatment plan can then be suggested to the patient.
Do you also recommend wigs
and/or hair integration systems
if there is no medical solution?
Livia Zanardo: A suitable hair replacement system is very
important for the patient. That way they can regain some
of their personality and a bit of normality again. Modern
hair systems allow patients to live their lives every day with
basically no restrictions. I find it very important to be able to
recommend a competent address to my patients.
What are the essential
manifestations of the medical
phenomenon hair loss?
Is the number of hair problems
increasing or rather declining?
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Lutz: This problem and corresponding therapies have been around since ancient times
and was already known in ancient Egypt. In the past, one
would probably worn one‘s hair in an ever thinning bun
and accepted the ageing process. Luckily, our increasingly
older yet at the same time more agile and fashion-conscious
population can have different aesthetic claims.
Where are your limits
as a dermatologist?
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Lutz: This of course depends on the
cause. People come to me with great expectations, so I must
not raise false expectations. So if a therapy is not possible or
has been exhausted, I address the subject of hair replacement
directly, and write out a suitable prescription. It is absolutely
vital for my patients to be able to live a normal life without any
restrictions, despite a deficiency.
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Lutz: Diffuse hair loss, which leads
to thinning of the hair over the entire head, is called alopecia
diffusa. The genetically caused hair loss, which women ‚inherit‘ from their female relatives. And the circular hair loss, the
so-called alopecia areata, is an autoimmune disease, which
can lead to total hair loss. In my practice I more and more
get scarring forms of alopecia, caused by inflammatory scalp
disorders.
What exactly are the causes?
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Lutz: Diffuse hair loss can have many
causes; the dermatologist has to prove his or her qualities as
a sleuth: possible causes are deficiency syndromes, hormonal
disorders, thyroid diseases, side effects of drugs. Inherent hair
loss is caused genetically. The circular hair loss, alopecia areata, is the result of an auto-aggressive reaction of the body‘s
defences.
