Dear Colleagues,
After the great success of the 5th informal meeting held in Sydney in March 2012 by a small
group of surgeons addicted to ear reconstruction, the timing felt right to create and
International Society of Auricular Reconstruction (ISAR at www.isar.cc).
Today, we are pleased to welcome you to Paris, France, for the 1st Congress of ISAR, to
share the innovations and future trends in ear reconstruction.
We have an exciting program for the three coming days. On Thursday 25th 2014, the
meeting will start with a master class in ear sculpture, for a limited number of preregistered participants only.
It will be followed from Thursday to Saturday evening by over 100 communications, 10
keynotes and even a surgical film session, in order to cover the entire spectrum of modern
ear reconstruction.
A welcome cocktail will be served on Thursday after the last session. Because we know that
many of you will want to explore and enjoy Paris fine dining, we have decided to leave you
free for dinner on Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday evening, an exceptional Gala dinner will take place on the top floor of the
UNESCO building, designed by Le Corbusier, and usually closed to the public.
Please make sure that you attend the gala dinner, as we have made every possible effort to
make this event unforgettable, so that it will help us become much more than just
colleagues, but friends sharing a common passion.
We hope that you will enjoy the meeting as much as we have enjoyed preparing it for you.
