Nigura Metzler and Aston Martin
sign a licence agreement
Düsseldorf, December 2010
The British luxury car maker Aston Martin, which is world-renowned for its
design excellence, and the Düsseldorf optical company Nigura Metzler have
concluded a worldwide licence agreement.
The licence agreement was signed at the headquarters of ASTON MARTIN,
attended by Dr. Ulrich Bez; CEO Aston Martin, Norman Mcdonald; Managing
Director of Aston Martin Brands, and Dominik Müser; Managing Director of
Nigura Metzler. The contract covers both prescription frames and sunglasses.
The collection premiere is planned for June 2011.
"We are extremely delighted with the cooperation with Aston Martin," is how
Dominik Müser commented on the new agreement. "It represents a milestone in
the development of our company. Aston Martin is recognised as one of the most
desirable luxury brands in the world. It is the ideal addition to our brand portfolio
and opens up substantial international potential for growth for Nigura Metzler."
Norman Mcdonald, the Licensing Director at Aston Martin brands, was excited
at the opportunities this new license will create. "Like Aston Martin, Nigura
Metzler is a company with a long tradition, and, like Aston Martin, it stands for
exceptional technical and design excellence. The eyewear and sunglass
collection which will be created in collaboration between both companies is
inspired by the world of Aston Martin which will present a unique design
signature."
The Aston Martin Collection will be developed as an exclusive line and be made
available through selected trade partners.

A German brand for underwear, perfume and eyewear which became
popular because of its spectacular marketing promotions. Always looking
on the bright side of life, being different and amusing people with irony –
that is the philosophy of Bruno Banani.The brand likes to grab the
attention and their means are truly extraordinary.
The bottles are shaped like lop-sided castles in a continuous row and
stand out from the mass of other eaux de toilette in the perfume store. The
characteristic feature of the eyewear is the colourful prints on the temples.
The prints of the 2011 collection are inspired by the history of Bruno
Banani, its philosophy, its marketing promotions or simply by things which
happen in the world.
In 1998 Bruno Banani initiated the first fashion show for underwear in
outer space on the Russian space station Mir. The underwear was not
presented by models, but by the Russian cosmonauts who hovered naked
in the capsule, only dressed in underwear.
This is an example of a temple (BRU2006/BRU6005) with a turnable part
which gives you the possibility of changing the look with a simple hand
movement. You have the choice between the simple acetate colour and
the colourful pattern.

Cerruti 1881, the brand with Italian refinement enhanced by a French touch.
This is the core identity of the famous brand founded by Nino Cerruti in 1967.
The new CERRUTI 1881 eyewear collection reflects the success of the past
as well as the modern perspective of an up-to-date brand. By using high
quality materials such as titanium, the collection fulfils the requirements for a

A new feature in the collection is the introduction of a women‘s line within the

look at the hinge cut area which is covered with a metal decor plate. This
plate is marked with the Cerruti CRR logo and is the embodiment of luxurious
understatement because it is hidden when the frame is worn.

Aluminium frames are enjoying a great revival and are increasingly being
requested by customers. This frame meets all the demands of premium
eyewear. All in one piece like an acetate frame, provided with a very
sporty faceting, it offers real light weight despite the volume.
None of the mechanical details interrupt the puristic effect. The spring
hinge is integrated in the temple and the closing block is submerged in the
rim and so invisible.
Acetate is an important trend topic which is satisfied to perfection by the
two men's frames.
Special care was given to the presentation of the logo which looks as if
positioned in a window in a section in the temple. The Metzler name has a
subdued appearance and its simple lines rather suggest a pattern.
The temples develop their effect through two different colour nuances on
the inside and outside.
The innovative material NIMEX5P has been used for this frame. Its weight
is even less than that of the two aluminium frames.
It is as light as a feather and highly flexible. The dynamic shape and the
striking faceting provide the frame with a modern and sporty appearance.

The 2010 prescription frame collection is inspired by the Hexagon
cushioning system of Reebok. In the new Reebok collection, modern
