Location: The Mall at Steamtown The Central Scranton Expressway Start your trip down the Central Scranton Expressway (exit 185 off Interstate 81 Northbound) into Downtown Scranton. This route into the City is featured in the opening credits of The Office. As you travel into the city, on the right hand side, you’ll notice a Welcome to Scranton sign where the original sign (seen in the opening) once stood. The original “Welcome to Scranton sign is housed in the Steamtown Mall upper level. Location: 710 North Washington Avenue Lackawanna County Coal Mine Tour No fan should miss a visit to the Lackawanna County Coal Mine Tour and the Anthracite Heritage Museum. Laser tag is not permitted, but performing Michael and Dwight’s “Lazy Scranton” rap is strongly encouraged. Location: McDade Park, 1 Bald Eagle Road Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe Don’t make the same mistake Michael Scott made - get the “good” Alfredo’s pizza. Location: 1040 South Washington Avenue Lake Scranton You can’t swim here, however you can walk the four mile path around the lake. Location: PA Route 307/Moosic Street, Exit 184 off Interstate 81 Houdini Museum Tour & Magic Show Nellie was right - this museum solely dedicated to the famous magician and escape artist is one of the most interesting and unique places in the area.
