The Central Scranton Expressway
Start your trip down the Central Scranton
Expressway (exit 185 off Interstate 81 Northbound)
into Downtown Scranton. This route into the City
is featured in the opening credits of The Office.
As you travel into the city, on the right hand side,
you’ll notice a Welcome to Scranton sign where
the original sign (seen in the opening) once stood.

Nellie was right - this museum
solely dedicated to the famous

of the most interesting and unique

Scranton was known
for being the first
place to run trolleys
by electricity, giving
it the nickname “The
Electric City.” You can
see this sign during the day or lit up at nighttime atop the
former Scranton Electric Company Building.
