Please review this guide, set up your
system, and check back regularly to see
your energy savings. You will also receive
surveys through the pilot that will help us
improve your product experience.

This is your PowerStream
application on the Touchpad
By using this app, you’ll be
able to:
• Control your thermostat, set weekly schedules,
and get personalized energy saving tips
• Instantly access your energy data, your energy
bill forecast, and see how your energy
consumption compares against similar homes
PowerStream
• Create rules to automate thermostats, lights,
appliances, and more – so you don’t waste
energy when you’re not home

The Touchpad
The PowerStream application on your
touchpad is the heart of your Energy
Management kit. Accessing your energy data,
changing configurations, and controlling your
connected appliances can all be done via on
the touchpad screen.

Touchpad buttons
PowerStream Application
Access your Energy Management
application here. All of your energy data,
bill estimates, and thermostat control
are housed in this application.
Home Screen Button
Use this to return to the main screen.
Night Button
Located on the top right side of the touchpad,
use this once you are finished using the
touchpad to save energy. Just push the
button and the screen goes dark.
To get the screen back, just tap the screen.
Volume Control
Allows you to adjust your touchpad volume.

How can I monitor my energy use
Visit your PowerStream
Application regularly
On the application home page you will be able
to see how you‘re doing in comparison to other
similar homes and take appropriate actions to
become a leader in energy efficiency.
Cooling
Your average cooling hours compared
to other similar homes.
Temperature
Your average temperature compared
to other similar homes.
Peak Usage

Your average peak usage time as
compared to other similar homes.

TIP
Please do not submit payment against
the estimated bill calculation. You are
only ever responsible for paying your
regular bi-monthly PowerStream bill.

Heating and Cooling

You can control your home’s
temperature from your Touchpad,
smartphone and computer.
Save more with SmartShift
SmartShiftTM uses your schedule, the weather
forecast, and the thermal characteristics of your
home to maximize your energy savings. Your
heating and air conditioning will run at the most
efficient times, while keeping you comfortable
while at home.

Set up your schedule
TIP
Please use the PowerStream
Application when adjusting your
temperature on the Touchpad.
Click on the calendar icon to create a customized
thermostat schedule for your family. You can
always update and adjust your schedule
throughout the pilot.

Stay close to home,
wherever you happen to be
With the Smart Home Monitoring app, you can
access the PowerStream application and manage
your system remotely from your iPhone, Android™,
or BlackBerry® device.
• Download the Smart Home Monitoring app for
your iPhone, Android™ (Google Play),
BlackBerry® device (BlackBerry World™)
by searching for “Rogers Smart Home”
• Open the app, enter your MyRogers username
and password, and click Log In
• To access the PowerStream app, go to
My Energy Use

If you do not already have a MyRogers
username and password you will be
provided one during installation.
• To control your thermostat settings, go
to Thermostats+
• To control your Smart Plugs, go to Lights

Web Control Centre
Always be connected to
your home via the web
You can use the Web Control Centre via the
Internet whether you’re at home, or away. You
can remotely control your energy management
system, create convenient automation rules and
much more.

How to log in:
• Visit smarthome.rogers.com on your browser

• Enter your My Rogers username and
password and click Sign In

TIP
Create rules to fit your lifestyle. For
example, program the lights to turn
on at 5:00 pm every day, and turn off
6 hours later. Visit the Web Control
Centre to create your own rules.
• To access the PowerStream app, go to
Energy and click on My Energy Use
• To control your thermostat settings, go to
Energy and click on Thermostats+
• To control your Smart Plugs, go to Devices
and click on Lights

A Smart Plug can turn on or off any appliance
connected to it manually through the touchpad,
or automatically programming specific rules.

Ways to Control your Smart Plugs:
• Using your Smartphone, login to the Rogers
Smart Home Monitoring app and go to Lights
• Using the Web Control Center, login to My
Rogers account on smarthome.rogers.com and
click on Lights under Devices

Connect your Smart Plugs
to 110V appliances:
Lights, curling irons,
entertainment systems
(such as TV, game console etc.)
