FROM THE HORSE SHOW OFFICE
New for 2016 will be a first class VIP and Sponsor Hospitality Pavilion, offering a wonderful retreat for trainers, exhibitors, sponsors and vendors to
mingle and relax. In addition, Country Heir will host its first Local Day, an unrecognized day of competition held on Tuesday, June 14, between the two AArated events to create a more cost effective option for green horses and young riders to gain mileage and enjoy a great experience. Week II will feature the
second annual $7,500 Pre-Green Incentive, in memory of dear friend Joe Darby. This event provides pre-green horses the opportunity to compete in the
same ring the USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Finals are held in just two months later.
$30,000 International Hunter Derbies to be held both weeks! Our judges each year tell us ours is the best derby they have ever judged! Great Courses.
Back by Popular Demand – $10,000 in the Half Million Jumper Classic!! Limited to riders that have won less than $500,000 in Jumper classes since Dec.
1, 2008!! See full specs under Special Classes section.
Don’t miss the Buckeye Donkey Ball to be held Friday evening of week I in the Murphy ring. The sign-up sheet to ride will be at the donkey trailer
before the start. You must be 16 years old to ride the Donkeys, minors must have a parent signature. Food and Fun!!!
Create your entries ONLINE at HorseShowing.com. Try the new easy to use mobile app which allows you to create your entries on any mobile device.
Also available on HorseShowing.com will be LIVE RING STATUS which will automatically update as soon as the first horse steps foot in the ring each
morning, all rings are seen on one page. It tells you who is in the ring and how many are left in the currently open cards. No app to download and free to
everyone.
Very important-trainers please fill out and mail your stabling block reservation form (available at www.countryheir.com) directly to Country Heir Horse
Shows and be sure the “stable with” line is filled out on your client entry forms, it can be a challenge to accurately assign stalls without this information.
As always the Country Heir office will do electronic verification of credentials. If all USEF/USHJA numbers and signatures are on your entry form, you will
simply need to stop by with an open check and pick up your number. No cards will need to be seen. Save a tree, please don’t send photocopies! This
includes membership cards as well as measurement cards. All horses must have a Lifetime USHJA Registration number, it will be the same number as its
USEF - $75.00 for LIFE (no need to renew annually). Go to www.USEF.org or www.ushja.org to obtain your USHJA Horse Registration if needed. All
horses (Hunters and Jumpers) wishing to receive POINTS or qualify in any way with USEF or USHJA for HOTY, Zones, etc. must be recorded with USEF,
$75 annual or $200 Life. It is solely the exhibitor’s responsibility to obtain a USEF recording if they wish to receive points, application can be completed
online. USHJA registration is mandatory regardless of your desire to receive points.
Of course we will have the Exhibitors Terminals running again. Exhibitors and trainers can submit Medication Report Forms, Trainers Reports for
adds/scratches, view current statements, display Exhibitor’s Reports, print daily schedule with estimated times and class counts, view Class Results for any
class in the show and view class entries, and view/print championship charts. All exhibitors and trainers are encouraged to make use of the ShowPro
Exhibitors Terminal often to keep track of statements and class results. When using the Add/Scratch slip, please remember that all Adds must be made by
5:00 P.M. the day before the class to insure that your add will be accepted. Each evening after 5pm we evaluate the size of the following day and decide if
same day adds will be accepted. Additionally, all Scratches must be made on an Add/Scratch slip in the horse show office prior to the start of the class to be
considered for a refund. Be certain you have read the “A” rated Hunter Add/Scratch/Combining Policy in the body of the prize list.
Express Checkout will also be available. All you need to do is print your statement at the Exhibitors Terminal and write your entry number/s on the memo
line of your check and drop it in the box, no waiting to see a secretary. If we have an “Open Check” on file, it will be destroyed as soon as we verify that your
account is paid in full. No standing in line necessary! If you need a statement showing you are paid in full, please feel free to email me after the show and I
will email a pdf statement to you within 24 hours. [email protected]
We once again will write prize money checks at checkout, as we do every year. If you are owed money be sure to stop in and pick up your check. Your
signature, or your authorized representative’s signature will be required to pick it up. All exhibitors in classes paying prize money will be required to fill out an
IRS W9. This form makes it clear to us who prize money checks should be made payable and to whom the resulting 1099 will be mailed. This form is
conveniently located on the back of each entry form and will be required to be filled out for each payee with all horses listed on the single form. Prize money
will not be deducted from your account or prize money checks issued without the W9 form.
Go to www.Horseshowing.com for all information. Information is updated regularly as entries arrive. I will be uploading important information including all of
the results and Championship standings. If you need more entry forms, they can be printed from the website (including pdf fill-in entry forms), as well as
additional prize lists. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly via email if you have any questions or concerns. [email protected]

scratching any classes within the section for any reason.
RDNE (Rode Did Not Enter): Entries that show in a class that was not properly entered either by inclusion on your original entry form or a properly

the reason.

It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent, guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see to it that the headgear worn complies with
appropriate safety standards and is properly fitted and in good condition.
Poling: Manual poling and the use of bamboo offsets are prohibited at all times on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. In the event of a
violation of this rule, the involved horse and its trainer of record as indicated on the entry form will be suspended from further competition at the
show in which the violation occurred. In addition, no refunds will be given for any unused fees.
Emergency Information: All horses must have an emergency information card attached to their stall for contact purposes. Please be sure to fill
one out and attach it to your stall. Forms will be available in the show office.
Check Out: Each show is separate and you MUST close out your account no later than Sunday each week. For your convenience there will be
exhibitor’s terminals available in the show office; we encourage you to look at your account early in the week and make any corrections while the
office is quiet. If you wish us to fill in your check for you, we will be happy to. Please print your statement at the exhibitor’s terminal and write on
it “please close out my check” and drop the statement in our basket; this will avoid the need to stand in line. If you are checking out more than one
horse be sure to include a statement for each horse and explicit instructions as to whose check we use for which horses. Remember to print two
copies, one for us and one for you! Please look over the information on your statement and report any errors to a secretary immediately as to

entry form has been completed prior to any schooling or lunging of said animal. A $50 late fee will be added to any non-showing horse that does
not complete an entry form in a timely manner. To be considered a showing horse, the horse must compete over fences and in the equivalent of
one section. If they do not meet this minimum then the cost of the classes they do show in will be deducted from the non-showing fee. The token
Under Saddle class will not excuse you from paying a Non-Showing Fee. Scratched horses on the grounds are considered non-showing horses.
Horse Show Championships: In all Hunter Championships, the titles shall be awarded to two of the four horses which have acquired the most
points over fences. In addition to these points, only these four horses shall receive full points for ribbons won in Under Saddle classes and half
points for ribbons won in Model. Points awarded for all divisions as follows: 10-6-4-2-1-1/2 except Jumper bonus classes. Ties in USEF Hunter
Championships shall be decided as specified in the USEF Rule Book. Others shall remain tied and shall flip/draw for the awards. Ties in Jumper
divisions shall remain tied and entries shall flip/draw for the awards. NO DUPLICATE AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR TIES IN JUMPERS.
