American Express expands the premium service the Mercedes-Benz customer has come to expect.
When you offer the Mercedes-Benz Credit Card from American Express to your customers, you give them the opportunity to obtain a Credit Card with exclusive features and access to benefits
not offered by other cards. You also create revenue-generating opportunities for your dealership.
Dealership Benefits
Card Membership offers an added incentive for customers to purchase or lease from you, such as certificates for accessories and toward the future purchase or lease of a vehicle. If your lease
customer is over miles, he or she can receive the benefit of an excess mileage waiver. These Card benefits can:
• Increase traffic, bringing more sales opportunities for you.
• Create customer affinity for the Card and its rewards, providing a built-in incentive
for the purchase of vehicles, service, accessories, warranties, and more from you.
• Strengthen brand loyalty whenever rewards and benefits are earned or used.

Acquisition Bonus
Your customer will receive 10,000 Membership Rewards® points after charging $1,000 in purchases on the Card in the first 3 months of Card Membership.1 Points will be credited to the
customer’s account 6 to 8 weeks after the spend requirement has been reached.
The Welcome bonus offer is not available to applicants who have or have had this product.
Selling Tips
Let your customer know that this bonus can be earned after an initial purchase in dealership if the first purchase on the Card is $1,000 or more.
Dealer Benefit
Because the points can be earned after an initial purchase in-dealership, the customer has an additional built-in incentive for the purchase of aftermarket products right away with the
Instant Account Number.

Low Introductory Purchase APR
The Card offers 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 6 months. After the initial 6 months, APR will be a variable rate based on current Prime Rate, currently equal to 15.24%.6
Selling Tips
The customer can use the Card in your dealership with the Instant Account Number and has 6 months to pay off the balance without incurring interest.
If your customer is instantly approved, they can use the Card toward their down payment, the payment of an extended limited warranty or the purchase of other aftermarket products
and accessories.
Dealer Benefit
With 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 6 months, your customer has an additional incentive to make purchases in your dealership right away with their Instant Account Number.

$50 Accessory Certificate
Your customer will earn a $50 certificate good toward Genuine Mercedes-Benz Accessories (not for parts or service) after the first eligible purchase on the Card as well as every year
at Card renewal.2 Certificates will be sent to the customer’s address on record and will arrive 6 to 8 weeks after the first purchase on the Card and at each Card renewal thereafter.
Certificates expire within one year from issuance. Limit one certificate per Card account per year.
Certificates may only be redeemed in person at a participating, authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. These certificates may not be used for online purchases.

The customer can earn a certificate after his or her first purchase at your dealership.
Dealer Benefit
The certificate can only be redeemed in person at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. Therefore, this certificate increases customer traffic and generates incremental sales
for your dealership.
Processing
The certificate must be presented by the customer or anyone residing at the same address printed on the certificate. To process, follow the instructions on the back of the certificate.

$500 Silver Star Certificate
Your customer will earn a $500 certificate good toward the future purchase or lease of a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle after charging $5,000 of eligible purchases on the Card each reward year
he or she is an active Card Member.3 Certificates expire within one year from issuance. Limit one certificate per Card account per year.
Certificates will be sent to the customer’s address on record and will arrive 6 to 8 weeks after the $5,000 spend threshold is met during each reward year.
Please note that certificates cannot be provided on the same day the Card Member applies for the Card or meets the spend threshold. Time is required to print, process, and post the certificates.
Certificates may only be redeemed in person at a participating, authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership.
The $500 Silver Star Certificate is an annual benefit that a Card Member receives after charging $5,000 in eligible purchases to the Card account during a reward year. A reward year is the one
year period following the date your Card account was opened and each subsequent one year period that follows.
Certificates can be used by anyone residing at the same address as the Card Member, which is printed on the certificate.
Selling Tips
Your customer can earn a certificate with the first purchase if he or she spends $5,000 on the Card at your dealership.
If your customer spends $5,000 in purchases on the Card at your dealership (toward a down-payment, for example), that purchase alone will qualify them to receive this certificate within
6 to 8 weeks.
Your customer can get a certificate every year that they spend at least $5,000 in purchases on the Card.

Dealer Benefit
Because the certificate may only be redeemed in person at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership, it is a direct incentive for the customer or anyone residing at the same address as the
customer to return to your dealership to purchase their next vehicle.

The certificate must be presented by the customer or someone residing at the same address. To process, follow the instructions on the back of the certificate.

Excess Mileage Waiver
Card Members can use the up to 1,000 excess mileage waiver at lease end when their vehicle is leased through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.4
Selling Tips
The waiver can be used in the dealership as soon as the customer becomes a Card Member with an Instant Account Number. This excess mileage waiver is a great selling point for
customers that are returning their vehicle and have exceeded their mileage allowance.
The customer can use the benefit yearly as a Card Member; one per Card Member per year.
Dealer Benefit
The waiver can be used immediately upon approval, providing you with an opportunity to deliver additional value to your customer.
This benefit provides an added incentive to lease from you again and again.
Processing
Only the Card Member may redeem this benefit. The Card Member name must be the same name as the one on the lease contract. Limit one excess mileage waiver per Card per year.

Excess Mileage Waiver
No certificates are required. The processing is done in MB Advantage.
1. At lease return, the customer provides his or her account number.
2. Enter the customer’s Card number and click Validate.
3. A
message will confirm that the Card number is valid.
- The Card must be validated to be eligible for the excess mileage waiver.
- The name on the Card must match the name on the lease.

nce you have completed the lease-end process, the excess mileage waiver
will be automatically deducted from the customer’s final Lease-End Statement,

and shown as a credit under “Less Security Deposits and Other Credits.”

Membership Rewards® Program
With the Membership Rewards program, Mercedes-Benz Credit Card Members can earn points for each dollar of eligible purchases made with their Card.
As a Mercedes-Benz Credit Card Member, your customer will receive:
• 5X points on select Mercedes-Benz purchases
• 3X points at U.S. gas stations for each transaction of $400 or less
• 2X points at U.S. restaurants
• 1X points on other purchases
Terms and limitations apply.5
These points can be used toward rewards, which start at just 1,000 points. There is no limit to the number of points Card Members can earn.7
Membership Rewards points have no expiration date. However, points may be forfeited as described in the program terms.
Card Members can also link eligible Cards or add an Additional Card Member to their account to earn points faster.

Your customer can redeem Membership Rewards Points for these certificates.
The Service A Membership Rewards Certificate entitles your customer to receive the 10,000-mile vehicle maintenance check performed at a participating Mercedes-Benz dealership.11
The Service A Certificate can be redeemed for 26,000 points.
The Service B Certificate entitles your customer to receive the 20,000-mile vehicle maintenance check performed at a participating Mercedes-Benz dealership.12 The Service B Certificate
can be redeemed for 58,000 points.
Certificates cover taxes and fees associated with Service A and Service B.

can be redeemed at your dealership.

Membership Rewards® Certificates ($1,000 Vehicle Certificate)
Your customer can redeem Membership Rewards Points for this certificate.
The $1,000 Membership Rewards Certificate entitles your customer to $1,000 toward the lease down payment or purchase of a new vehicle at a participating Mercedes-Benz dealership.13 The
$1,000 Membership Rewards Certificate can be redeemed for 100,000 points. Only one $1,000 certificate maybe redeemed toward the purchase or lease of one vehicle. This certificate cannot
be combined with the Fleet programs, but may be eligible for use in combination with other Mercedes-Benz programs in place at the time of purchase or lease.

Your customer can redeem Membership Rewards points for this certificate that can be used toward
the purchase or lease of a new vehicle.
This certificate is combinable with the $500 Silver Star Certificate, providing a total value of $1,500.

If your customer is financing through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, complete the process outlined on the following pages.
Not Financing through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Paying Cash, or Applying at Home
If your customer is not financing through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, paying cash or applying at home, present the customer with a Credit Card brochure, which provides:

Step 1: Submit a Loan/Lease Credit Application through
MB Advantage® or DealerTrack®
The Credit Card Application Process begins with submitting an individual loan or lease credit application in MB Advantage or DealerTrack.
All customers you have submitted an individual credit application for will automatically display on the Credit Card queue. Business applications will not display on the Credit Card queue.
To begin the process:

Step 3: Navigate the Credit Card Application Queue
All customers who have submitted an individual Mercedes-Benz Financial Services credit application through MB Advantage® or DealerTrack® within the last 60 days will appear on this list.
1 By default, the most recent customer application is displayed at the top of the queue.
2 Customers remain in the queue for 60 days from when the loan/lease application is submitted to Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. The Time Remaining column displays the time remaining
to initiate a Credit Card application. The customer will be removed from the queue when the timer runs out.
3 Click the Time Remaining header to sort by time remaining.
4 Click the Customer Name header to sort by name.
5 Use the Search function to find a customer by first name, last name, or Social Security number.

Ask if the customer would like to apply for the Credit Card and locate the customer in the queue.
1a If the customer is not interested in applying, click the Decline button. A pop-up box will display confirming if the customer wants to decline the offer. Click Yes to decline.

1 Once you have clicked Yes to the offer, you will have 1 hour to complete the Credit Card application. A timer will appear at the top of the screen to display the time remaining.
2 Click Print this page to print a copy of the Terms and Conditions. A new window will be opened up. The window will have to be closed to proceed with the process. Give the customer
the printed copy of the Terms and Conditions.
Remember, if you are using an iPad to process the application, you MUST be able to print from the device.

1 If the customer’s application is instantly approved, print the disclosure agreement by clicking the Print link and hand the disclosures to the customer. A new window will be opened up.
The window will have to be closed to proceed with the process.
2 Check the box that indicates you have printed and presented the disclosure agreement to the customer.
3 Ask if the customer would like his or her account number. This is the only opportunity to obtain the Credit Card number before the Credit Card is sent in the mail. If the customer does not want
an Instant Account Number, click No and advise the customer that the Card will arrive in the mail in 7 to 10 business days. Once you click No, the process will end.
4 If you or your customer would like a record of the consent, click the Print Consent button to print a record of the customer’s consent and signature.
5 If the customer would like to know his or her account number immediately, click Yes. Tell the customer that the actual Credit Card will arrive in the mail in 7 to 10 business days.
Legal requirement If a customer wishes to view the Credit Card Instant Account Number, you MUST print the disclosure page and give it to the customer prior to clicking Yes.
