There is a separate registration fee for these workshops. We encourage you to register in advance but we will accept registrations on-site. CPT Coding Workshop Kathryn Hansen, R. EEG T., BS, CPC Kathryn has extensive experience in neurodiagnostic billing and will provide information about correct CPT codes to use for various procedures. Reimbursement will improve with correct coding, so don’t miss this workshop! EEG Board Prep Workshop Larry Head, R. EEG/ EP T., CNIM, RPSGT; Cherié Young, R. EEG T., CNIM Whether you are preparing for Part I or Part II of the current ABRET exam, or planning to take the new exam in 2013, this workshop will be helpful to you. Larry and Cherié will help you pull together study resources and gain insight into what you will need to know to succeed. MEG Workshop Susan Ebersole, R. EEG T.; John Ebersole, M.D. There are now at least 40 medical centers in the U.S.A. that offer Magnetoencephalography and the value of this imaging study is growing. Localizing cognitive brain function and epileptogenic foci are important tools MEG offers as part of the pre-surgical epilepsy work-up. It is a fascinating and rewarding job for technologists who wish to expand their skills. This workshop will provide an overview of the theory behind the MEG, how a study is acquired, and what it shows. Minimally Invasive IONM Workshop Faculty TBA Medtronics is sponsoring this workshop which will demonstrate the anatomy involved with monitoring extreme lateral/minimally invasive procedures. You will experience the viewpoint of the surgeon with a virtual O.R. set-up. TCD Workshop Thomas McGee, CNIM Transcranial Doppler may be used in IONM and in the ICU setting, and technologists are often asked to learn how to run TCD studies. This will be a hands-on workshop with TCD equipment, preceded by a lecture on the anatomy of the circulatory system and techniques involved in this study. 5 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Program Committee Andrew Ehrenberg, R.
