INTRODUCING THE CHANNEL ISLANDS POD MOD IN TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY
Torq Surfboards is proud to announce a new partnership with Channel Islands Surfboards, to produce their best selling Pod Mod in our
new torq X-Lite technology.
Channel Islands Surfboards need no introduction – the world’s leading performance
surfboard company. The Pod Mod is one of their best selling, most versatile
surfboards suitable for waves from 2-6ft and surfers of any ability.
Torq has developed a solid reputation since 2012 with their Revolutionary Epoxy
Technology – a high tech, low waste process with unmatched precision and
durability. The development of X-Lite takes this into the lightweight, high
performance realm but remaining affordable for the everyday surfer.
The Channel Islands X-Lite Pod Mod will be available in 3 sizes:

Torq X-Lite technology pushes our already
innovative Epoxy Technology to improved levels
of weight and performance. The core of the board
is an individually blown high precision EPS blank,
wrapped in Biaxial cloth and using Epoxy resin.
On the deck of the X-Lite is an additional layer of
Impact Protection Mesh which is designed to
disperse the shock of impact and reduce dings
and heel dents. On the bottom is a Carbon torsion
strip to control flex and provide snappy response.
This technology has a massive strength to weight
ratio. It is stronger with a lower environmental
impact than a standard PU/Polyester board.
