Turn Tec Engineering and Front Cap
Chaparral prides itself on the best towability in
class. With a chamfered frame and aggressive
cap design, the Chaparral is able to achieve an
industry leading 90° turning radius. This
incredible maneuverability is combined with
one of the most aerodynamic cap designs ever
found on a fifth wheel. Finally, the front of our
units stand out among the competition because
of their white color which won’t fade over time.

Azdel Sidewalls
The delamination of a sidewall can be a big
headache for RVers and this is why we have
incorporated a material which virtually eliminates
the problem. This is why we back all of our
fiberglass sidewalls with Azdel panels, which are
impervious to moisture and much lighter than
wood. This combination is then vacuum bonded to
the aluminum frame and block foam insulation.
All of this comprises a sidewall which is one of the
strongest and lightest in the industry.
 50% LIGHTER THAN WOOD
 IMPERVIOUS TO WATER = NO DE-LAM
 ALUMINUM FRAMED & VACUUM BONDED

Pass Through Storage
Chaparral has deliberately designed a pass through
storage which serves many purposes. First, it is the
largest square footage ever found on a mid-profile
Chaparral and is completely void of any black pipes. It
also utilizes an oversized water management panel
which places most maintenance functions in one
convenient location. Next, we have included a 110v
outlet and cable hookup for use with the TV bracket
found on the sidewall. Finally, we are one of the few
units which insulate their bed/bath deck.

One Touch LED Electric Awning
An awning is one of most important features on a RV,
it allows customers the ability to spend time outdoors
without dealing with the elements. This reason is why
we made this area easy-to-use and filled with modern
amenities. Our electric awning requires users to only
have to press one button to fully extend and retract.
Additionally, our customers can enjoy a late night
under the awning with a white LED strip or watch their
favorite team with our unique outside TV bracket with
all-weather speakers.

Dexter Axles and Suspension
Every customer wants to feel safe when towing a
fifth wheel and we taken steps to ensure this. We
have equipped our Chaparrals with Dexter axles and
suspension systems. Dexter is a world renowned
name in trailer axles with fantastic service to boot.
We utilize their 7000lb axle on three of our larger
models and the 5200lb on all of the rest. The E-Z
Flex suspension system, standard on all Chaparrals
and optional on our Lite floorplans, absorbs road
shock and allows for smoother towing.

450lb Bike Rack
Storage is an important issue for any RV buyer
and we have worked to make sure our customers
have plenty of storage opportunities. This
includes our 450lb bike rack located on the rear
bumper. The removable bike rack allows
campers to strap down an extra cooler or bring
the bikes for a fun family activity. These are the
little things which Chaparral consistently does to
ensure our campers have a great experience.

LED Lighting
LED lighting is the way of the future and that is
why it is found in the Coachmen Chaparral. Not
only are LEDs brighter than their incandescent
counterparts, but they also draw less power from
the battery. The Chaparral features LED lighting
in all rooms, closets and pantries. Finally, the
Chaparral utilizes attractive puck lighting which
gives the coach a much more residential feel.

New Window Treatments
The standard for RV decor has been a hard,
stationary valence with solid legs. This look is no
longer found in residential homes and will not be
found in a Chaparral. We now use all fabric
valences and legs which are easily removable
and not made with any wood backing. This way
customers can replace them if they want a
change, and if they get dirty the curtains are
easily washable.

80” Sofa and Tri-Fold Bed
The rear sofa on a Coachmen Chaparral redefines
what an RVer should expect out of this piece of
furniture. Long enough to stretch out and
comfortable enough to sleep on, this 80” sofa is an
afternoon nap waiting to happen. This sofa also
converts into a near King size bed with a memory
foam mattress. Finally, on either side of the sofa is
an end table with cup holders and an easily
accessible outlet.

Large Rear Windows
Most manufacturers will skimp in this location
and place a skinny, stationary window. We have
rejected this standard and placed large,
functional windows here instead. This allows a
customer to open up both windows and get a
nice breeze across the rear of the coach. It also
gives campers a better view of their favorite
campsite.
 LARGE, FUNCTIONAL WINDOWS
 ENABLES A CROSS-BREEZE FOR SOFA
 BETTER VIEW FROM INSIDE THE UNIT

Updated Bathroom
A large and functional bathroom adds
tremendous value to a home and we have
applied this concept to the Chaparral. Our
bathroom includes a walk-in shower with seat
and sliding glass doors, linen closet with extra
deep storage, large stonecast sink and a
residential medicine cabinet with lots of storage.
Finally, the new skylight allows in much more
natural light.

 LARGE LINEN CLOSET
 DEDICATED HEAT DUCT FOR COOLER DAYS
Serta Residential Queen Bed
A bed can make a difference between a good day
and a bad day and this is why we have spared no
expense when it comes to the Chaparral. We do so
by using one of the most recognizable names in
mattresses, Serta. Also, the Chaparral does not
utilize a standard RV-size mattress, but instead opts
for the full 60” x 80” version found in homes across
the country. Additionally, certain floorplans will offer
a larger Serta king size bed. These differences are
what allows Chaparral to stand apart from the
crowd.

o This groups checks for any code violations or reoccurring quality
issues
o Their results are then complied and sent back to our plant to be
shared with our workers
 Each unit is also subjected to testing to ensure all basic functions of the
coach are in working order
o Water pressure test – ensures no leaks in plumbing or holding
tanks
