Established in 1836 August 2016 New weight room opens The newly renovated Weight Room will open on Aug. 1. This is one of our most extensive projects at the Berea Recreation Center. Working with contractors and advisers at G&G Fitness, we have created an up-to-date and attractive weight room with new equipment and new flooring. We literally renovated the room from the ground up. We tore up the old flooring, got rid of the huge desk in the middle of the room to allow for more equipment, painted everything from floor to ceiling and installed a new audio system. Best of all, we replaced all of the equipment with new, state-of-the-art machines, benches, racks and weight plates from Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Gronk Fitness. In addition to the Weight Room, we also renovated the Grindstone Room with some really unique pieces, such the new Life Fitness, Synergy System, Endless Rope Machine and a new cable pull station and added three new Life Fitness treadmills. Thanks so much to our members for your patience and understanding during construction. If you are not regular members and are looking to get your fitness goals started, please stop by to check us out. Membership prices are competitive and tours of the facility are always free. Look inside this Program Guide for more information. Feel free to contact one of our staff members if you have any questions or want to offer feedback.
