Welcome to Mansfield, Texas
Mansfield
is a growing
city with a rich
heritage and bright
future. With quality
as a goal in everything
from development and
public facilities to education
and recreation, Mansfield is
recognized as one of the best
places to live, work and play
in the country. Its location in the
south center of the Dallas-Fort Worth
Metroplex provides easy access to
attractions, cultural and athletic events,
dining and shopping and business centers
across the region.
Mansfield is also an active community,
where quality of life is often measured in the joy
found in homeruns and goals scored in unique and
distinctive athletic facilities. Residents and visitors
celebrate life daily in spacious parks and open spaces
that are often the site of festivals, concerts and special
events. Distinct and unique attractions provide familyfriendly educational and recreational fun, while a growing list
of local dining and shopping opportunities offer something for
everyone.
For more than 125 years, Mansfield has been a place
to call home for thousands of people with a vision to live in a
community with the spirit to achieve greatness. We look forward
to sharing that spirit with visitors to our city and to the North
Texas region.

Linear Park is the last Saturday of January
and draws walkers, runners and bikers to
Mansfield, and ends with a health fair at Town
Park.
The holiday season in Mansfield kicks off
the first weekend in December with Hometown
Holidays, a community wide celebration that begins

One of the most honored one-city, one-book programs
in the country takes place each April with Mansfield Reads!

other special activities. Mansfield Reads! culminates in an

best-selling and awardwinning authors have
come to the city to share the
community’s love of reading.
The Town Park
Amphitheater is alive with
music each spring and fall with
the “Night on the Town” concert
and film series. The Saturday evening
gathering alternately brings live music
or family-friendly films to the park.

annual Pickle Parade & Palooza in historic
downtown. Start by running in the Pickle
Palooza 5K or 10K on the Linear Park trail, watch
