That’s high praise and a high calling, indeed! What follows in this report is our attempt to demonstrate all that Jesus invited us to do for His sake in 2014. Your support fueled that work greatly, adding greater ‘saltiness’ to our efforts that yielded some amazing results. “you are the salt of the earth” - matthew 5 Salt reverses decay An incredibly effective preservative, salt is still used today to preserve food. So too, BHITC is being used by God to proclaim His love and grace in environments that are withering from sin, abuse, neglect and pain. As a result, we’re witnessing Jesus transform the city from death to life through the power of His Word and service of His people. Salt adds flavor Salt makes things taste great, right? Through BHITC’s people, partners and ministries, we’re leading others to realize what a blessing life can be when it’s centered on Christ and His community. Through our community workers, missionaries and church planters, urban neighbors and families are discovering just how dynamic life can be in Him. Salt causes thirst In all that BHITC does, our prayer is that people will want more… more joy, more freedom, more dignity, more relationships, more hope, more Jesus. We’re pointing people to Him day in, day out as the only source for real fulfillment. Keep reading and you’ll see what we mean. Thank you for giving to the Lord. Please pray for the city today.
