Dally in the Alley announces that The Sixth Generation will performing this year
The 34th annual Dally in the Alley street fair in the North Cass Corridor to be held from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
on Saturday, September 10 is pleased to announce The Sixth Generation, recently inducted into the Michigan
Rock and Roll Legends hall of fame, will be performing on the Forest Avenue stage at 5PM. Admission to
Dally is free and more than 20,000 people are expected to attend this annual celebration of life in the Cass
Corridor.
Organized entirely by volunteers, this annual performing arts festival includes local artist installations
throughout the neighborhood, more than 40 bands during the day, and showcases food from local restaurants
as well as various types of merchandise from local vendors. Set in the unique and historic alleys of the North
Cass Corridor, Dally in the Alley is fun for all ages. Proceeds of the event are used to support various projects
aimed at improving the quality of life for people who live and work in the North Cass community.
The Sixth Generation was officially inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends hall of fame in June
2011. Playing top hits of the 1960s and original songs about the 1960s, the band never fails to captivate
audiences with good music and high-energy performances. The Sixth Generation produces good shows not
only because they are all good musicians, but also because they have been good friends since the 1960s
when they first started performing together. This factor adds a dimension to their performances that is
unparalleled among bands of their genre. With amazing harmonies and rich instrumentation, the band readily
dispenses a broad variety of rock and roll songs in a nonstop show that is highly satisfying to fans of all ages.
