Setthathirath Road, adjoining Parliament House

With recent improvements to infrastructure and
increased international flights, Vientiane is less than
an hour’s flight from Bangkok and direct flights are
scheduled regularly from Hong Kong, Singapore,
Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Tokyo, not to mention
Sydney, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and
more. The ‘Friendship Bridge connects Vientiane
to the Thai riverside town of Nong Khai, and in the
future, the trip will be possible at 120mph by high
speed train.
