Our 2016 bull lineup is without question our best
and brightest ever – only the most impressive and
highest performing bulls are included here – and
this standout is surely one of the best we have ever
built. He is the natural son of our great “Yellow 28”
donor dam and the first of two high performance
brothers (see Lot 2 also) that will surely help us add
to our list of satisfied bull customers. Yellow 28 is
one of our most impressive females and she is really
stamping her progeny with great looks and valuable
Lot 1
performance and soundness. This bull has a perfect
foot and leg shape like his dam and he is great on
the move plus he is so rugged and powerfully shaped. He has grown with the best of the crop, is one of the heaviest muscled bulls we have sold, has a
great disposition, and his largely outcross, double-clean pedigree should make him a cinch in all sorts of breeding schemes.
We want to raise and sell bulls that will make your job easier while producing females that we would like to buy back to use in our program. Bulls like this
one and those selling here represent the kind and the pedigrees that we know will work. Select from our best this season and let us help you get to the
next level!

A big, stout money maker with a pedigree and a look

be a top choice of many at the auction. He has been
one of our best performers since he hit the turf and he
is another great product of ML Yellow 28, one of the
best kept secrets in our herd. Like his brother that
sells here as Lot 1, this bull is a pounds and profit machine with great foot size and place, large testicles,
and outstanding muscle.

208R “The Whoa Cow”, this purebred Maine option is as stout
and powerful as they come! His dam was the $34,000-valued
high seller of our 2014 Dream Girls Sale to Dr. Derek
McFarland, IL, because of her amazing ability to consistently
produce powerful, useful progeny like this bull by the Triple
Crown Champion, Daddy’s Money. Examine the immense foot
and leg on this huge-butted bull that is also sure to be one of
our heaviest at auction time. He is great haired and exceptionally long with a clean, attractive profile – he is especially good

the most powerful donor dams in our lineup. This flashy MaineTainer by Irish Whiskey is one of the youngest bulls in the offering
but he offers one of the oldest and most successful pedigree blends
in the game. He is especially sharp-featured and long bodied with
better hair and the cocky, masculine look of a herd sire. Several of

Sells open with 9 embryos by Monopoly, Man Among Boys, and Fu Man Chu
This green shavings darling – Calf Champion of the 2006 ACA National Show – has become one of our most reliable performers with year over
year performance to rival any, and her remarkable flush record enables us to offer her here while she is still looking great and performing even
better. This freak-necked, double-clean profit machine is the dam of the $20,000 heifer that Ed Roberts, IN, selected in 2015 plus two steers
that have sold to Copus Cattle, TX, for $10,000 each and much more. A daughter by Irish Whiskey sold to Tolle, KY, and Bonnell, IN, for $8,500
in 2012, another bred heifer brought $8,500 in Dream Girls 2014 where a sister brought $8,000 as an open heifer plus other calves – some
from embryo sales – have sold for $4,000 and up.
All in all, Charlie’s Angel 260S has done everything we have asked of her and more including a flush record showing production in excess of 20
embryos/flush. Her higher percentage pedigree makes all of her calves eligible for registry and she looks just like she did when she was four,
maybe better. This is our deepest and most productive offering of core cows and this one is strong enough to build a program around plus we
are giving you a running start with 9 embryos included in the hammer price. This investment will pay you back for a long time!

This cow division is as deep and good as we can stand – maybe too deep – and cows like this will bring you back for more! This sweet brockle-face is the dam
of the $5,000 steer we sold to Beckett Cattle, KY, this fall plus a $6,500 heifer that went to Iowa in 2013. She is extra sharp and crisp in her lines with a full,
balanced form and a double-clean status to go any direction. Expect a good one from this combination!

top performers around the country, this huge-bodied cow is the dam of a $7,500 heifer in Dream Girls
2014 plus a steer that brought $6,500 to IL last fall. She comes fully equipped with top fleshing ability
and milk plus the strong structure it takes to get the most from her proven pedigree.

Check the videos and walk the pens to find this proven purebred

extra length of front and strong structure to make them special like
her son that brought $5,000 to the Pollen Family, IN, in 2014 and
her 2015 heifer that sold online to South Dakota this fall for $4,250.

Due 3/02 to Django
A proven performer with all the hair and hip you can stand, the first
calf from this cow was a $3,500 steer that went to Eric Pierce, IN.
She also gave us his $4,000 full brother that sold to Mark Taylor, IN,
and she is due again for a stout one to the very powerful I-80 son,
Django. She milks very well and is sound and correct with flat bone
and crazy shag!
Dear Friends and Cattlemen:
“Thank You” is how I want to start this introduction to Dual Threat 2016. The cattle industry has sure had it
highs and lows in 2015 and the customer support we have received over the last 12 months has been overwhelming; our 2015 Dream Girls sale was better than ever. I cannot thank you enough.
When we started this Dual Threat Sale the #1 goal we had in mind was to create a bull market for ourselves.
We are now in our third year of this project and, while we’ve surely made some strides, we’ve learned that
goal is much easier said than done. But I am the type of guy who likes a challenge so we will keep bringing
you the best bulls we have to offer and hopefully earn your bull business – we think you’ll agree that the bull
selection this year is outstanding . Our #2 goal was to sell March and April calving heifers and cows to
spread out calving season some for our customers. Some of you have told us that you do not like calving in
January and February so we made options.
This set of cattle is the best we have ever offered at this sale; we keep tweaking the process to make them
better. I sure hope you will come see them. Our focus on “Quality first and always – regardless of breed or
type” could not ring more true than with this set.
The bulls are stout and sound and have the look we are striving for. So, when their calves hit the ground
please call. We will likely be interested in buying them.
The breds are way good; the right size, shape and breeding to make you big dividends in the end. Remember our
heifer buyback and heifer breed-back options that could help make and save you money right away. As we have
done the last few years, this is a 100% dispersal of our best bred heifers – NONE ARE HELD BACK!
The cows in the sale are just plain hard to sell. We are not selling them because we want to. We felt it was
something that needed to be done. Time is something we do not have a lot of and it is getting to the point
that something had to give. So, the decision was made to disperse all the cows we were breeding for steer
production. This decision was just made a month ago and will take us two years to implement. So, look for
another 15-20 steer mommas selling in Dream Girls 2016 and Dual Threat 2017. This wasn’t an easy choice
for us but will let us focus more on making better females and seed stock for our customers.
I couldn’t do any of this without the support of a great wife, Mandy I love you! Our herdsmen is the best.
CB, you are the hardest working person I know and I appreciate everything you do.
Colton Ogburn, you have been a blessing to come in and help with whatever we
needed. Thank you! Thanks also to David Tresslar, Cole and Burk Van Horn, Dean
Adcock, Carrie Wiley, Monika and Travis Wallen, Gerrit Chupp, and Krista Dillman,
and my daughter, Hanna Martin for all of your hard work and crazy hours. A
special thank you to my son, DJ, he takes a lot of shit and does a great job.
In closing, I hope to see you at the Dual Threat Sale if not before. We have a great
set of cattle to offer you and I am hoping to fill the place full of great cattlemen…
..let’s get ready for an ever better 2016!
Call on me if I can help in anyway,
Jimmy Martin

and bulls. She is the dam of Tyler Clark’s 3rd Overall Steer of the

is matched up well for big rewards with a variety of sires and she
even produced the occasional red one with the same power and
quality. Both of these packages will produce purebred Maine calves
and trust us when we tell you that these calves will be among your
best next year. She just works!
