The playgroup is based on what the
participants want! It can be
structured or it can simply be a place
to hang out and relax - this is your
playgroup!
“I started at Fiddlesticks when I was 9 years old at their summer camps and kept going till I was
thirteen. Even when I became a Leader in Training when I was twelve, I still went to camp on
the weeks I didn’t volunteer; it was that much fun! I loved camp and volunteering so much that
I decided to keep doing it. I was a summer camp LIT and Leader, I’ve helped instruct the hip
hop classes, I helped kids make awesome snacks at Snack, Wrap and Roll, was your designated
face painter at the Strawberry Socials for many years, was a part of the FYRE Committee for six
years, and I’ve helped deliver newsletters around the community.”
Erika is currently working towards her Undergraduate Degree in Criminology and Criminal
Justice Studies as well as a Minor in French at Carleton University in Ottawa!
“What I’m doing now wouldn’t have been possible without the experience I
have had and people I have met through Fiddlesticks. It has been a part of my
life for so long I don’t know what my life would be without it. I’ve made
lifelong friends and memories that will last forever.”
