The GCC India - Framework Agreement - which sought to enhance trade and technology transfer – between India and the GCC states, was a key deliverable of this Conference. The second Conference organised in Muscat, Oman in March 2006 led to the adoption of the Muscat declaration which ensured that the event would be held in alternate years between India and six member states of the GCC. In May 2007, India hosted the 3rd GCC-India Conference which discussed ways and means of expediting the proposed FTA between India and GCC. The Conference also witnessed signing of four MoUs between private sectors companies from India and the GCC countries to form Joint Ventures. The 4th GCC- India Industrial Forum which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah on 18th & 19th November 2015. The 2 day Forum aims to provide the latest industrial and economic updates, sharing information, networking opportunities with key players, identifying strategic partners and new business opportunities. The Forum features keynote, plenary and parallel sessions from Political leaders, key policy makers, thought leaders and Captains of the Industrial industries. The event will explore specific areas of cooperation between India and the GCC countries in areas such as Information Technology, Health Care, Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy, Food Security as well as other verticals in the manufacturing sector. The Conference is organized by GCC Secretariat and the respective Governments from India and 6 GCC members countries in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry(CII); The Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CSCI);Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry(JCCI) and the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
