Adventure News!
Winter/Spring 2015
Calendar & Newsletter
letter from the president
Hi friends,
How exciting that we’ve made it through another year! I always like to reflect on last year’s events and
activities that were put together by Shared Adventures. I hope you had a chance to look at all our amazing achievements listed in our 2014 Year-In-Review, which was recently mailed out. I’m glad that so
many people were able to participate in these events and had positive experiences. Included with our
Year-In-Review was information about a new giving program called “Fostered Adventures” that will support our general activity schedule. If you haven’t taken a look at the “Fostered Adventures” program yet,
please go to our website or give us a call at the office to learn more.
One event coming up on March 2nd that we haven’t done in a while is a trip up to UC Santa Cruz’s LifeLab. This outing is truly a memorable experience because there is so much to learn from the docents and
there’s a lot to see in the bountiful gardens. Another event hosted by UCSC students will be a carnivalstyle “Day of Play”. This free activity, happening on February 28th, will include carnival activities, food,
and entertainment. Look for details inside.
Going into our 21st year of being a non-profit, I am excited about the possibilities of meeting new people
while creating more life-changing activities. In the enclosed Adventure Newsletter, you will see what we
have up our sleeves for the coming months. If you have an idea for an adventure which Shared Adventures hasn’t provided before, feel free to share it with us. We’re here to help you expand your horizons
by trying something different and new!
I hope everyone had a memorable holiday and you were able to celebrate the New Year in your favorite
way. Take a look at what’s inside and give us a call to sign up for your favorite activities. We look forward
to seeing everybody in the New Year!
Happy trails,
Foster N. Andersen
