› How Organix Weed Blitz Works
Organix Weed Blitz works by desiccation of the
cell walls of all contacted plant and seed tissue.
On contacting living plant or seed tissue it quickly
penetrates and disrupts normal membrane
permeability and cellular physiology. This causes cell
leakage, desiccation and the collapse of all contacted
tissue. Within 1 to 12 hours of application, sprayed
weed leaf tissue becomes dehydrated, creating a
quick decline, with leaves deteriorating and browning.
The roots of the plant are not directly affected, but
indirect rhizome and bulb control occurs by regular
applications to emerging weed parts. It also plays a
role as a pre-emergent herbicide to further reduce the
weed seed bank.

Organix Weed Blitz controls over 3000 weed species,
including plants that have developed resistance to
synthetic herbicides. It has also been extensively used
in the control of noxious weed such as blackberry,
patterson’s curse, thistles and other invasive weeds.
Organix Weed Blitz is entirely compatible for use
with synthetic chemicals and can be mixed in the
same equipment. Organix Weed Blitz has been used
in combination with low rates of glyphosate. This
produces a synergistic effect that offers a unique
combination of systemic, knockdown and preemergent activity.
As a pre-emergent it has the unique ability to destroy
targeted weed seed in the soil, thereby reducing
emerging weed pressure and offering the ability to
truly eradicate biohazard weed infestations.
