Summerbreak is over,
SynGate presents a bunch of releases this autumn
To start with, Pepijn Courant
aka AKIKAZE is back to
SynGate Records. Pepijn
from the Netherlands had
some releases with SynGate
in former years.
As of his performance
(together with Gert
Emmens) at E-Live at the
24th of October in Oirschot (NL) he relaunches his 2008 album „The Age Of
Deception“ as well as his 2013 album „Sense Of Urgency“
Furthermore there are three re-releases from 1991 („Leap In The Dark“),
1999 („Conflicting Emotions“) and 1989 („Music From Misty
Marshes“) Some titles from this albums may appear at the live performance
at E-Live
From the back catalogue of
TRAUMKLANG two long out
of print albums are rereleased now. Traumklangs
first album „Secrets“ is back
again as well as their second
album „Refractions“, both
from 1997
Traumklangs Mastermind CAROLA ZAUCHNER
now released an ambient solo album - she always
wanted to do so and recorded since years - so now the
result has found the light of the day with the syngateluna album „electronic underground“
Another syngate-luna solo-project appears from
well known electronic artist Frank Rothe under
his ambient project pseudonym FRINGO CHILLS.
Frank Rothe is one part of the duo „Fratoroler“ as
well as from the project „Filter-Kaffee“ with Mario
Schönwälder. Fringo Chills „…the first time“ is
the first album in a row to be continued.
Syndromeda is known as a very active artist from
Belgium, always open to cooperate with other
electronic magicians. This time he released an
album with Mac of BIOnighT from Italy, the title
„Volcanic Drifts“ gives a hint to massive
electronic sounds and sequences.
Another two new albums
are available by TM Solver. One is a syngate-luna
release called „svalbard“ that tells the story of a
trip to Spitsbergen way back in the 90s. When
Thomas Meier aka TM Solver visited Spitsbergen in
1993 he was attracted by many impressions of
deep coldness, wide landscape, rough nature and
the always present awareness of possible
encounters with icebears. These impressions found
their musical echo in this album. All those tracks
were written long ago but never published before, now in 2015 TM Solver
remastered the old recordings and they sound as
crispy and fresh, as the preserved ice from a
resort, that does not change its fascination
„Maroc“ features musical sceneries from a trip to
Marocco - long tracks that reflect the colorful
impressions of the wonderful landscape from the
north via the Atlas mountain to the south.
RAINBOW SERPENT did not have a releases
since quite a time and it may still take some time
until we can listen to some new tracks. But there
are still great albums from the past being out of
print. One of the best, „Pulse“ from the year
2000, formerly released by Manikin Records, is
back as a re-release with SynGate Records.
Anyway, every past and future album by Rainbow
Serpent will be a matter of SynGate Records, as all
albums from this duo have been aquired by SynGate.
Some more recent records:
BOUVETØYA recently released his thrid SynGate
album „Timeslip“. Anyone loving analogue
modular synth sounds and long sequences should
gibe this album a try.
COLIN RAYMENT is a new artists to SynGate
Records, although he is experienced since years.
His album „Abstract Dimensions“ is highly
cinematic, melodic and already had top reviews.
There are many more albums to be discovered, best way to do so is
browsing through www.syngate.bandcamp.com. You can listen to many
tracks, so you always know, what to get. If you prefer, you can purchase a
digital download in any wanted format (WAV, FLAC, MP3, etc). As well you
find most of the albums with MusicZeit as well.
Manikin Records, always in friendly business with SynGate, will change its
business model in 2016. No CDr re-releases will be distributed anymore, outof-print albums, that used to be re-released with SynGate records will only be
available anymore as digital downloads directly from Manikin platforms.
This means, no Manikin titles will be available from SynGate Records anymore
except factory pressed CDs from current releases in the distribution area of
SynGate Records shop. If you consider collecting some albums from Manikin
re-releases at SynGate, please order before the end of the year, from January
2016 those albums won´t be available anymore.
Anyway, Manikin artist Detlef Keller will keep to
SynGate with his project „M.O.B.S.“ So watch out
in 2016 for a successor :)
