Campus News and Events - St. Pius X Catholic High School
st. pius x catholic high school • atlanta, georgia
Dear Parents and Friends of St. Pius X,
Our Mission... St. Pius X, an archdiocesan high school, provides a college
preparatory education for the formation of the mind, body and spirit of
each student in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
It is somewhat quiet this time of the year. A much more relaxed tempo than during the
year, especially following our highly successful spring and the associated activities,
banquets, and graduation events. Invariably someone always asks, “What do you do
in the summer when no one is there?” They are surprised to find out that summer is
one of our busiest times of the year! This summer is no different as the main building,
Maloney Hall, is under construction to replace the original 1958 air conditioning units.
This project requires the entire ceiling and ducts to be removed and new hardware
installed. We are confident (as of this writing) that we will be back in the building
by July 25. Add summer camps, driver’s education, teacher workshops, academic
enrichment classes, a full bookstore operation, and you have a busy summer.
One of the summer tasks that I enjoy each year is the disaggregation of our academic areas in an effort to
determine areas of strength and what areas might need additional focus. As we review this data, it is quite
clear that our students worked hard and performed exceptionally well academically this past school year. We
are proud of their achievements in the classroom, on the stage, and on the fields. Their dedication and drive to
always reach higher is the very reason this school is so special.
I would like to congratulate the Class of 2014 on their recent graduation. We enjoyed celebrating the final
ceremonies which brought closure to their high school careers. The events highlighted the success of our
largest graduating class, which leaves St. Pius X with the second highest SAT scores and grade point average,
validated by the nearly $19 million earned in scholarships (a number that does not include HOPE or athletic
scholarships). The Class of 2014 submitted 1,481 applications to colleges and universities across the United
States and were accepted at 203 various schools. This fall, they will matriculate to 75 colleges with just 60
percent remaining in-state. An amazing assemblage of talent, not just academically, but in every aspect of life
at here. We wish them Godspeed as they begin the next chapter in their lives and we invite them to always
return to their roots at St. Pius X.
I am already looking forward to the new school year and welcoming the Class of 2018. I know that they will
continue to add to the well-established tradition of excellence at St. Pius X. This is a very talented class and we
anticipate great things from them and their families over the next four years as they contribute to the legacy of
this wonderful school. Until then, may God bless and keep you safe this summer. I look forward to seeing you
very soon.
Warmest regards,
Steve Spellman

Campus News and Events
Congratulations Class of 2014
Congratulations to the St. Pius X Catholic High School Class of
2014 who walked across the stage at Symphony Hall on May 17
to receive their diplomas and become the newest alumni of the
school. The 283 students became the 56th graduating class of St.
Pius X.
Principal Steve Spellman addressed the largest class to ever graduate St. Pius X, reminding them of their first day four years earlier. On that day, he described the successes of the current senior
class, then the Class of 2010, and challenged the Class of 2014 to
leave behind a rich class legacy over their four years; a challenge
that this class took to heart. Students from this graduating class
tied for the highest ACT scores in the history of the school and
completed a record 1,481 college applications. Members of the
class were accepted 203 colleges and universities and earned
nearly 19 million dollars in scholarship money (a number which
does not include the HOPE Scholarship or athletic money); a six
million dollar increase over last year’s talented class.
The graduates listened intently to valedictorian Margaret
Crawford and salutatorian Grace Obiofuma as they addressed
the group, reminiscing about their time as students and looking
forward to their futures. The two exemplary young women represent all of the best attributes of St. Pius X graduates. Throughout
her four years at St. Pius X, Crawford challenged herself with a
rigorous curriculum, including nine Advanced Placement classes.
In addition to her studies, she was a member of the National
Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, Student Council, served as
a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the St. Pius X Mission
Team, and acted as team captain for the state championship cross
country team. Destined to impact those around her, Margaret
will attend the University of Notre Dame on a Hesburgh-Yusko
Scholarship, the highest honor given to an incoming freshman.
Another highly involved student, Obiofuma excelled at St. Pius
X due to her work ethic, character, and intelligence. A Governor's Honor Scholar and National Honor Society member, she
earned straight A's every semester and challenged herself with 11
Advanced Placement courses. In addition to her studies, Obiofuma was a member of the Honor Council, Student Ambassadors,
French Club, Green Club, Concert and Symphonic Bands, and ran
with the track team. In the fall, she will attend Princeton University,
where we feel confident, she will continue to succeed.
In her speech, Obiofuma described the way her class joined together
and supported each other in all of their endeavors, whether athletic,
artistic, or just plain fun. “When the brick fades and the mortar
erodes, our legacy will remain because we choose to challenge
ourselves. We found ways to form a community that embraces all,
celebrates all, and loves all.”
Prior to the awarding of diplomas, Tom and May May Bickes ’74
& ’75 were recognized as recipients of the 2014 Distinguished
Alumnus Award. In his speech, Mr. Bickes reminded the graduates
to keep in mind the many lessons they learned at St. Pius X, most
important being: sacrifice, friendships, mentors, morals, and community. Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory distributed diplomas to the
graduates and proudly presented his annual Archbishop’s Award to
Carolyn Bresnahan and Fred Dorsey.
With a mixture of sadness and excitement, we bid a fond farewell
to the Class of 2014 as they move forward in their lives. We know
that they will continue to leave marks on society and the world, just
as they have left us with an enduring legacy of excellence. We pray
that God will always guide their ways, we wish each of them a
lifetime of happiness and success, and we welcome them as the
newest group of St. Pius X alumni!

Msgr. Lopez Takes Sabbatical
As many of you may have heard, Monsignor Richard Lopez will be taking a sabbatical
this coming year to care for his family. Since 1981, (decades before our current students
were even born), Msgr. Lopez has served and supported generations of the St. Pius X
community with his extraordinary teaching ability, his prayers, daily Masses, marriages,
baptisms, and funerals, among other things.
For 33 years, Msgr. Lopez has been a constant presence on campus and we will miss him
immensely though we fully understand his need to be with his family at this time. This
kind, funny, and gentle man has cared for us, prayed for us, and brought each of us closer
to God over the years. It is now our turn to give back to him with our prayers and support. We hope to continue his good work and make him proud of his St. Pius X family
this coming year. We wish him happiness and look forward to his return in the 20152016 school year.

Committee Needs
YOU!
The St. Pius X Faculty Birthday Recognition Committee
is one of the sweetest ways
you can get involved this year
at your child's school. As a
member of this Mothers’ Club
committee, you will be asked
to provide a birthday cake
(either homemade or store
bought) for a chosen faculty
or staff member on his or her special day. This
small gesture of appreciation is a way to show
how much we value our teachers and staff for
their dedication to our children.
Please check the box on the 2014-2015 Mothers'
Club Online Membership Form in the faculty appreciation section indicating your interest in our
committee! We have the complete faculty list and
their birthdays and you may contact us for specific
assignments at any time. We will also have the
list available for everyone to view and sign up at
the General Membership Meeting on September

Bring Your Own Device Program
We are excited to announce that we have formalized the Bring Your
Own Device (BYOD) program for the 2014-2015 school year. In
fact, many classes will now require a device (as designated in the
Course Catalog). Every student will be enrolled in at least one class
designated as mandatory BYOD; therefore every student must bring
a device to the specified classes each day.
As students utilize their technology devices in school, they will continue to learn new ways to use them to access content, collaborate,
and interact with faculty and their classmates to research information, solve complex problems, create original products, and publish
their work. This will better prepare them for college and their career.
Below, please find several general requirements for the program. For
more detailed information, please be sure to visit the following
document: http://goo.gl/xFjSxM. If you have any questions
about specifications, please email [email protected].

2014-2015 Orientation
Schedules
The Lion Leader
Program:
Freshmen
(Wednesday, August 6, 2014; 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
All freshmen will report to the Young Center for Mass, orientation, and homeroom assignments. Books will be purchased,*
class schedules will be distributed, and photos taken for the
yearbook. Wear the summer uniform properly (boys–white polo
shirt; girls–short sleeve overblouse). Uniforms will be checked.
All students must be picked up behind the gym. Parents should
enter the back parking lot and park in a space. They should not
form a car pool pick-up line as this often causes problems on
Shallowford Road. Once your student has joined you, you will
be asked to exit the parking lot turning right on Johnson Road.
Summer Reminders for Freshman Students and Their Parents
Summer is here and that means the Lion Leaders are in the
process of welcoming our newest “Golden Lions,” the Class of
2018 to St. Pius X Catholic High School!
Some program reminders for both freshman students
and their parents:
• Lion Leaders are required to contact their assigned
freshmen and introduce themselves to their cub’s
parents.
Camp Golden Lion Kick-Off
(Saturday, August 16, 2014; 4:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.)
Freshmen are encouraged to attend the annual kick-off to the
school year with Camp Golden Lion in the back gym. The
afternoon will begin with Mass and will be followed by a pizza
dinner and a social with the Lion Leaders for the freshmen.
Freshmen parents are invited to Mass, dinner, and a short parent
meeting this evening. Clothing should be casual.
• Lion Leaders will also arrange various times to
socialize with their cubs during the summer break.
Depending on summer schedules, Lion Leaders will
either meet with a cub individually, in a group with
their other assigned students, or with another Lion
Leader and their cubs.
• All freshman students have been invited to attend an
off-campus Summer PRIDE Event on either August 2
or 3. In June, a “Save the Date” postcard was mailed
to each cub listing the specific date and time of their
event. Lion Leaders will communicate any additional
event information to their assigned students in late July.
Please note that because each Summer PRIDE Event is
planned for a particular homeroom class or “PRIDE,”
freshmen can only attend their assigned event.
Seniors
(Wednesday, August 6, 2014; 12 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.)
All seniors will gather in the Young Center for Mass, orientation, and homeroom assignments. Books and senior sweatshirts
will be purchased,* class schedules will be distributed, and
order forms for caps and gowns will be completed. Seniors do
not have to be in uniform, but clothing must be appropriate for
school per handbook guidelines.
Sophomores
(Thursday, August 7, 2014; 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
All sophomores will report to the Young Center for Mass, orientation, and homeroom assignments. Books will be purchased,*
class schedules will be distributed, and yearbook photos will be
taken. Wear the summer uniform properly. Uniforms will be
checked.
Students and parents should be aware that each Lion Leader
will have a different style of mentoring their “cubs” based on
their personality and creativity. However, all Lion Leaders
are expected to act within the framework of the program’s
guidelines.
If a student or parent has any questions or concerns about the
program’s expectations and guidelines, they should contact
the Lion Leader Coordinator, Mrs. Courtney Granata, at
[email protected].
Juniors
(Thursday, August 7, 2014; 12 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.)
All juniors will meet in the Young Center for Mass, orientation, and homeroom assignments. Books will be purchased,*
class schedules will be distributed, and yearbook photos will be
taken. Wear the summer uniform properly. Uniforms will be
checked.
THE FIRST FULL DAY IS
FRIDAY, AUGUST 8, 2014.
CLASSES WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 8 A.M.
*Remember: All fees will be charged to your FACTS account.
There is no need to bring a check!

Attention Upperclassmen:
The English Department requires reading to expand your general knowledge and
encourage active engagement with big ideas. During the first week of fall semester,
all English classes will discuss the books read over the summer. Your books will be
due the first week of school and your annotations will be used for discussion and
assessment. Please make sure you have the right books for your 2014-2015 English
course by going to the summer reading link on the SPX homepage.
If you are taking AP English Language, please read the letter on the 11th grade summer reading list as well. It will specify your annotation assignments.
It’s time to hit the hammock with a glass of iced tea. Happy reading!

Students Serve Others on Mission Trips
On behalf of St. Pius X Catholic High
School, please accept our deepest thanks for
your generosity in supporting our annual
spring break mission teams. This past summer Pope Francis prayed with the world,
“Lord, teach us to step outside ourselves.
Teach us to go out into the streets and
manifest your love.” This is a prayer that
was truly manifested in our mission teams
during spring break. We are so grateful that
your generosity in so many different and
unique ways helped us to manifest the love
of the Lord and to be witnesses of our motto
Domini Sumus, “We are the Lord’s.”
While in Jamaica, our dedicated team of 20
gave great effort to overhaul the sustainable
gardens that Mustard Seed uses to feed the
children entrusted to their care and the local
community. During the week, the missionaries also had the opportunity to visit the different apostolates the Mustard Seed runs in
Kingston. This was and is always a highlight
for our teams as this is where they shine in
sharing the light of Christ and their joy with
all they encounter. The missionaries visited
Dare to Care, an outreach of Mustard Seed
to children with HIV and AIDS. They also
visited Matthew 24, a home for abandoned
boys and Mary’s Child, a home for women
facing crisis pregnancies. The missionaries
also had the opportunity to develop
deep relationships
with the children at
Sophie’s Place, as
this is where they
stayed. Each morning the team would
rise early to help the
workers feed and
prepare the children
for the day.
Eleven students
participated in our
domestic mission to
New York City. This trip was unique from
the outset, being geared toward working
with and experiencing various religious
orders that serve the poor in our own nation.
The week began with the Sisters of Life in
Manhattan, doing odd-jobs around their convent, helping the sisters to accomplish their
mission of providing a physical and spiritual
home for women who, against all odds,
have chosen to give their unborn children
life. The group then had the opportunity
and the blessing of working hands-on with
New York City's homeless by serving the
soup kitchen and night shelter of Mother
Theresa's Missionaries of Charity in South
Bronx. This was easily the highlight of
the mission, as the simplicity and joy
of the sisters fed the team’s desire to
serve as the Lord has called us to: giving
without counting the cost and serving
always with the joy of Christ himself.
Because of the work of the team, the
sisters were able to not only feed the 60
or so men and women that come to the
soup kitchen each day, but were also able
to organize and distribute hundreds of
carts of groceries to struggling families,
giving them a proper and
filling Easter feast. In
addition, the team also
had the opportunity to
meet Cardinal Timothy
Dolan, Cardinal Archbishop of New York City
(pictured at left) and Sr. Dorothy, one of the
first five women to join Mother Theresa in
her mission to serve and love the poorest of
the poor, taking in her wisdom to do "small
things with great love."
The 21-person Nicaragua mission team also
served with Mustard Seed. The team stayed
at the Mustard Seed apostolate in Diriamba,
a small village outside of the capital and
would travel each day to the Mustard Seed
Apostolate in Managua. The dorms for the
children of Mustard Seed in Managua have
been damaged in recent years from termite
infestation and needed to be rebuilt. While
the walls and foundation for the newly
built and fully handicap accessible concrete dorms had been raised by a previous
mission team, the concrete floors needed to
be installed. This team spent many hours
preparing and laying the concrete floors.
After the work came many hours of developing relationships and sharing love with the
younger children in Managua and the older
children in Diriamba.
We hope and pray that you will be able to
personally connect with our St. Pius X missionaries to hear about their personal and
unique experiences during their mission. We
are certain that they have many life changing moments to share and that you will be
enriched by the great work that they have
done with your generous help. Please accept
our sincere thanks for your generous support
of this transformative experience. We will
continue to keep you in our prayers!

Traffic Challenges
SMART HEART
SCANS
The traffic flow at St. Pius X is typically chaotic during the
first few days of school. To help ease potential problems and
facilitate a smooth pick-up and drop-off experience, we ask
that at the beginning and end of the school days you pickup and drop-off your students at the rear of the school. Enter
the driveway, bear right, and follow the driveway behind the
school. For pick-up, cars may queue starting at the loading
dock by the school bookstore.
WHAT
Echocardiograms (ECHO) provided by Smart Heart Scans
WHEN
Saturday, August 16, 2014 and if necessary, Sunday, August
17, 2014. The process takes approximately 30 minutes from
check-in to conclusion. Please keep in mind that this test is
given by appointment only. We cannot accept walk-ins.
Here are a few tips that may get you to your destination faster
when entering and exiting the school parking lot:
An alternate route available when driving to St. Pius X on I-85
South, parents and students have the option to exit at Chamblee
Tucker Road and proceed south on the access road. Take a right
at Appling Place and then a left on Dresden Drive. Continue
down Dresden to the stop light on Shallowford and take a left.
This will allow you to make a right turn onto Johnson Road and
a right turn into the St. Pius X parking lot.
WHERE
St. Pius X Catholic High School
WHY
Each year every St. Pius X student-athlete is required to undergo
a physical. The vast majority of the student-athletes take that
very thorough physical here at St. Pius X in May. There are,
however, certain heart conditions that cannot be detected by
regular sports physicals. Over the past several years, there have
been several deaths throughout the United States and here in
the state of Georgia resulting from an athlete's heart condition
that could only be detected by an Echocardiogram (ECHO). An
ECHO is designed to screen for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy,
a heart condition that reduces the heart’s ability to pump blood
effectively to the body. The ECHO and its interpretation by
a cardiologist routinely costs $800 to $1500, thus making the
procedure cost prohibitive for many.
PLEASE NOTE: Students and parents are not to use the Shell
stations as turnaround points. The area is highly congested in
the morning and presents a dangerous and hazardous condition. It is illegal to make a u-turn on Shallowford in order to
enter Johnson Road.
When leaving campus, traffic flow out of the school parking
lot will be eased when cars turn right onto Johnson Road.
From the 4-way stop sign at Johnson and Plaster Roads, vehicles may turn left or right to get back to I-85 northbound or
southbound.
If you turn left onto Plaster Road, take an immediate right onto
the access road south. About ½ mile down the access road
there is a “fly-under” I-85 where you can get on the access
road north. This will bring you back to the light at Shallowford
Road where you can enter I-85 north. Southbound I-85 can be
accessed at Clairmont Road.
Please keep in mind that an Echocardiogram is not required for
a student-athlete to participate on a St. Pius X team.
ECHO Form and Cost
If you wish to register your child, you can download the registration form online at www.spx.org. From the home page,
click on Athletics and then click on Student Physical Forms.
If you are not able to download the form, please contact Gary
Schmitt at St. Pius X at 404-636-7751, ext. 267. Please mail
the completed form with your check for $65 made out to Smart
Heart Scans to St. Pius X, attention Gary Schmitt by Tuesday,
August 5, 2014. You will be called during the week of August
11 to schedule your appointment time for the test.
If you turn right onto Plaster Road at the 4-way stop sign, Plaster will take you to Buford Highway or you can take the first
right off of Plaster Road, which is Dresden Court. Dresden
Court deadends into Dresden Road. Turn right onto Dresden
Road, and follow it until you reach the light at Shallowford
Road. Turn right on Shallowford to get back to I-85 north and
south.
Please remember all parking spaces marked with a "T" are reserved for faculty and staff. Please refrain from parking in
those spaces between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. In addition, students are not allowed to park in spaces marked as
"visitor." Thank you for your cooperation.
If your student athlete has already received an ECHO there is
no need to receive another one unless instructed to do so by
your physician.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Gary
Schmitt at 404-636-7751, ext. 267 or by email at gschmitt@

Home & School Rings in New Year
The administration and staff never stop
as the summer months are some of the
busiest. Here we are, in the middle
of July and we have already finalized
the calendar, approved the budget, and
made plans for another exciting year at
St. Pius X Catholic High School.
You might be wondering...How do I
join the Home and School Association?
All parents are members and dues are
paid through your FACTS account.
Each grade has grade representatives
on the H & S board who meet monthly. Your grade representatives are listed on the school website (www.spx.org/HomeAndSchoolAssociation). Please visit the website for important event
information pertaining to your student(s) and you. Meetings are
scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month and are focused
on planning for upcoming events as well as issues that relate
to our St. Pius X community. Our first meeting is Wednesday
August 6. If you have a question, concern or suggestion, please

successful! If you are interested in volunteering with schoolwide programs or grade-specific events, you
can follow the link on the email or visit the
Home and School website and click on the
link to our online volunteer registration.
Also, don’t forget to use your Publix cards
every time you shop at Publix; it is easy and
provides significant income to St. Pius X.
Last year, the Home and School received
approximately $5,000 from your participation. Publix funds along with parent dues
support the many programs sponsored by our organization. The
Publix cards will be available at the Freshman Parent Coffee,
New Parent Mass/Dinner & Camp Golden Lion and in the front
office.
School begins in just a few weeks. We will be hosting a Freshman Parent Coffee on Wednesday, August 6 in the Donnellan
Center. If you have questions or just want to meet a few new
friends, please stop bye after you drop-off your student for

SPAS Invites Community to Support the Arts
Dear Families of St. Pius X,
Welcome once again to the wonderful world of fine arts! The 2014-15 school year promises to be an exciting time for everyone, with
performances, productions, and exhibits that will showcase the incredible talents of our students. We hope that all families in the community
will join the St. Pius X Arts Society (SPAS) in promoting and supporting our fine arts program. In return, we will continue to provide
our families and friends with our very own special brand of artistic
nourishment.
SPAS is committed to artistic excellence in a Catholic and spiritual
environment. To support that effort we ask that each family become
a part of this phenomenal group. Several years ago we changed our
fundraising efforts and no longer sell Sallie Foster or entertainment
books; instead, our fundraising comes solely from our memberships to
SPAS. Our goal is for every family at St. Pius X to become a member of
SPAS. This supports the continued growth of the fine arts and benefits
every student. Thanks to SPAS we enjoy new screens in the lobby of
the Young Center and in the fine arts hall and additional lighting in the
Young Center. We also introduced notecards featuring the beautiful
artwork of our students in the Visual Arts. In the 2013-14 school year
the students benefited from guest dance instructors, guest actors, and
several trips for the fine arts students. All of these exciting “extras” are
thanks to SPAS and its members.
How can you help SPAS? Joining SPAS is easy with the online
membership form. You have the option of choosing whether you prefer a
one-time payment or a four period installment method, both via FACTS
Management System. Our goal is to have every family at St. Pius X join
SPAS! Please help us reach that goal. The online link can be found on
the website at: http://www.spx.org/SPAS
I wish all of you a healthy, academically successful, and spiritually
enriching school year. I hope you will join us at many of our performances
this year and see how talented and dedicated our fine arts students are.
I promise you will be delighted and amazed!
Sincerely,
Helen Young
SPAS President
Senior Signs with the University of Kentucky
Congratulations to Class of 2014 graduate Fred Dorsey who signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the
University of Kentucky's Track & Field team on May 28.
According to Track & Field Head Coach Ryan McClay, "Fred is one of the best track and field athletes
we've ever had at St. Pius X and that's saying something. He's also got the absolute best attitude and has
truly been a great representation of St. Pius X with his character."
Dorsey became the first St. Pius X student-athlete to earn the MVP Award for most individual points scored
at the state track meet. At the 2014 graduation ceremony, he was honored by Archbishop Wilton Gregory
as recipient of the Archbishop's Award, given to the gradutes who demonstrate academic success in Theology
courses and offer a high level of service to their school, parish, and community. According to Coach Todd
Stewart, "It is impossible to succinctly credit Fred for the endless contributions that he has made to the St. Pius X community. I look
forward to hearing about his future successes."

Athletics
Dear Friends,
One of the wonderful traits that was ingrained in me as a St. Pius X student
came from Coach Maloof. As you know, it meant so much to him that every
single individual take “Pride” in what they did. I write to you today, very
proud of what the students, the parents, and the coaches accomplished at
St. Pius X this past year.
As you are probably aware, last year we hung nine state championship and
state runner-up banners in the gym. This was a record, with the previous
record having been six. Steve Spellman and I thought the nine was amazing but was most likely an anomaly. Those kinds of years come along
once-in-a-lifetime. Then this past year we hung eleven.
The Golden Lions captured eight state championships and three state
runners-up. Our state championships included volleyball, boys’ cross
country, girls’ basketball, boys’ swim & dive, boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer,
boys’ track & field, and boys’ tennis. Our runner-ups were in girls’ cross
country, girls’ tennis, and girls’ track & field. In conjunction with this, 21
of our 22 varsity teams advanced to the state play-offs.
We were awarded the GADA Director’s Cup for the fifth time in the last six
years. This award recognizes us for having the best overall AAA athletic
program in the State of Georgia. In addition, we received the news that we
were also being awarded the Region 6AAA GHSA Region Sportsmanship
award. What our coaches, student athletes, and families accomplished is
nothing short of amazing; I am so proud!
As I peeled back the layers of this accomplishment my pride grew and
I immediately thought of each of you. Our program is not our facilities.
It is not our equipment or our uniforms. This highly successful athletic
program is you! You, the coaches, the kids, the supportive parents, and our
supportive alumni working together to form the foundation of something
special. That something special is the St. Pius X family.
Now we begin the preparation for the 2014-2015 school year. New energy,
new faces, but the family remains the same. I like that. I suspect you do
also. I believe even Coach Maloof would agree. That is something we can
all take pride in! I hope to see you at the games. Go Lions!
