stretching more than half a mile, navigating our facility and the airport requires some

History —
Jet Aviation St. Louis, formerly Midcoast Aviation,
was founded in 1971. Jet Aviation provides a full
spectrum of services, including maintenance,
avionics, electrical, structural and mechanical
engineering, avionics design and integration, interior
design, airborne office, information and entertainment
systems, hand-crafted cabinetry, custom upholstering,
composites, sheet metal, paint facility and certification.
The company is an FAA #RO3R822L and EASA
#145.4676 repair station. Located closer to downtown
St. Louis than any other airport, the Jet Aviation FBO
at St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, IL. provides
a comprehensive array of premium ground and
support services.

The construction of a narrowbody hangar, extensive training of technicians and
investment in infrastructure has positioned Jet Aviation St. Louis as a leading
resource for work on these airframes. Numerous St. Louis technicians have been
sent to Jet Aviation’s sister facility in Basel, Switzerland to gain first-hand experience
working on BBJ airframes. This cooperative work program began in early 2010
and continues today.

Sheetmetal
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is important to
keeping your aircraft in tip-top condition. NDT can
be compared to giving your aircraft a checkup.
There are hundreds of parts on an aircraft. Each
and every one serves an important purpose in
its operation. Keeping them functioning in peak
condition has been a Jet Aviation St. Louis
specialty for more than 30 years.
The Sheetmetal Fabrication shop is the backbone
of Jet Aviation STL’s custom completion business.
With our high precision CNC operated water jet,
machining, and metal-forming capabilities, we can
transfer any interior vision into interior reality.
As part of the holistic service solution at
Jet Aviation St. Louis, our highly skilled team
provides complete overhaul and repair of
airframe accessories.
The Technical Service Support Department of Jet
Aviation STL consists of the following capabilities in
support of our internal and over 100 external customers.
•Manufacturing the support and infrastructure
provisions required for mounting the interior
components
•Sheetmetal brackets and assemblies required
to shape and form the interior seats and divans
•Cabinetry and bulkheads are fabricated in house
by the sheetmetal shop
•Water system lines and pressurization panels,
oxygen lines (all lines are fabricated and
leak checked)
•Ice liners and trash cans are fabricated from
polished stainless steel
NDT/Calibration //
As members of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Jet Aviation St. Louis technicians
are trained in proper NDT procedures and use this
discipline to detect potentially hazardous conditions
before they become problematic.
