Aviation Autographs
I
f you’re looking for warbird and other
aviation collectibles, a good first stop is
AviationAutographs.com. The online store,
created and run by Ed and Connie Bowlin, offers
a collection so broad you might think you’ve
come across an aviation museum. The Bowlins—
accomplished pilots who have logged a combined
50,000-plus hours of flying time—have made
available an extensive collection of signed aviation
prints, autographed books and other unique items.
Amassed over a span of more than two decades, the store’s
collection features a broad range of aviation-related items. From
DVDs, books and mouse pads to rare lithographs, prints and
photos, there’s something for everyone. The items make ideal
holiday gifts and are a perfect addition—or beginning of—any
aviation buff’s collection.
Among the collectibles is an extensive inventory of items with
original signatures of some of aviation history’s most famous
individuals. Autographs from World War II Triple Ace fighter
pilot Col. C. E. “Bud” Anderson, fellow World War II fighter
pilot Brigadier General “Tex” Hill, German fighter ace General
Günther Rall, World War II fighter and test pilot Bob Hoover, and
other aviation legends add priceless value to these unique items.
Much of the collection was created by Retired Air Force Lt.
Col. Dave McFarland, head of the history department at the
Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base.
McFarland traveled the world in his quest to personally meet
air and space legends who contributed to the advancement of
aviation. He founded the annual “Gathering of Eagles,” bringing
together the world’s most distinguished aviators. Each year’s
event was commemorated by a commissioned print signed by
these heroes. AviationAutographs.com is the only source in the
world for the 19 prints in the unique series.
Other items available through the site also are signed by aviation
legends who Ed and Connie know or have known directly or
indirectly. Their extensive involvement in the aviation community

help the Bowlins ensure the authenticity of items they make
available. Each signed item at AviationAutographs.com contains
a certificate of authenticity and is 100% guaranteed—something
you can rely on with confidence.
Popular items on the site include the “Missions That Changed the
War” DVD series; autographed books from a number of Medal
of Honor recipients; “The Gathering of Eagles” print series, with
an average of 20 signatures from aviation’s most famous people;
and other autographed profile prints.
Among the most unique collectibles is the 1982 “The Gathering
of Eagles” print, with the rare signature of Neil Armstrong, and
those of George Vaughn, Leigh Wade, James Doolittle, Curtis
LeMay, Joe Foss, George Gay, John Mitchell, Chuck Yeager,
Gail Halverson, Paul Tibbets, Gabby Gabreski, Michael Novosel,
Robin Olds, and William Knight.
A one-of-a-kind wooden propeller signed by 64 American
Fighter Aces and another signed by 32 members of the Flying
Tigers also top the “most unique” list.
For many items, quantities are limited. Order early and don’t
miss the opportunity to own—or share—a unique piece of
aviation history. You’ll find something every aviation enthusiast
would like to add to his or her own personal collection.
