UH-60 Aft Trans Mod
Mission: Greatly enhance the communication and
mission capabilities of their UH-60A/L Blackhawks.
Fabricate and install a door into the aft transition area of up to 760 UH-60A/L helicopters. This added
door/compartment is designed to facilitate the installation of the ARC-231 Multi-Band, Multi-Mission
Radio Suite, which will greatly enhance the communications capability of the Blackhawk.
The majority of the affected aircraft are (or will be) assigned to the ARNG. The communications
upgrade will serve the unique mission requirements of the Army National Guard while employing their
Blackhawk fleet in support of Homeland Security and Disaster Relief missions.

In summary, Sabreliner Aviation wishes to inform the Adjutants General of the existence of this awarded
and funded contract. Production of these kits is well underway, but the installation and the subsequent
communications upgrade continues to be at a stand-still resulting in a delay in the modification process.
Sabreliner Aviation has the contract vehicle in place and the equipment and capacity to begin these
upgrades immediately. We believe the ARNG will benefit from the added capability of their UH-60A/L
fleet, increasing mission readiness.
This communications upgrade will increase the flow of
information on several levels, providing a more capable
Blackhawk for our soldiers and citizens.
