British Bundle #2 - Lee Tank Squad
BRP000907 Among the many items of lend-lease which America supplied to
the British armed forces in World War II was the early-War Lee tank. This was
a medium tank equipped with a 75mm gun, a 37mm turret-mounted gun and
several additional Browning machine guns. Early in the War, when Britains lost
most of its armor during the retreat to Dunkirk, they were in desperate need, so
the U.S supplied them with 3,650 Lees, many of which saw action in the North
African Campaign. The version of the tank included in this bundle is New Ray's
first version metal model. Also included are 6 Britains British infantry. (Figures

Bastion Models - Painted Metal Figures
BASTION MODELS
(England, 54mm painted metal models - gloss finish)
Toy soldier designer/writer/historian Andrew Rose was
involved in the design of such British soldier lines as
Steadfast, Mark Time, Wessex (a subset of Dorset),
Albion, Blenheim and his own private brand of Bastion.
He authored the beautiful and informative full-color book,
"The Collector's Guide to Toy Soldiers," which we carry
in our books department. Bastion models are "New" toy
soldiers, designed in the same style as Marlborough,
Tradition, Imperial and others in the era before the advent of the "Photo Realistic" style as epitomized by
Britains, King and Country and other current manufacturers. Bastion's gloss finish harkens back to the glory
days of the 1950s and 60s. All sets are mint in their
original first-version maroon boxes. Produced in the
1980s in very limited numbers in gloss finish.
