The December Chamber Coffee was
hosted by Aging, Disability & Transit Services of Rockingham County. The Chamber
would like to thank the group for hosting us and for providing the
snacks and coffee. There were many chamber members and board
members in attendance. During that morning’s coffee, discussions
were held on the 16th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast that will be held Jan. 20 and the Breakfast with Santa Leader In
Me fundraiser. The Chamber Coffees are great networking events;
anyone who would like to attend is welcome. They are held the first
Thursday of the month at 8 a.m.; the next event will be Jan. 8 at
Rockingham Community College.

Breakfast with Santa 2013
This was the second year for the Reidsville Chamber’s Breakfast
with Santa event. It was held at Sagebrush Steakhouse in Reidsville on Dec. 14. The event was sponsored by Tim Talley Photography, Walgreens Drug Co., Piedmont Natural Gas and Avanté at
Reidsville. More than 300 tickets were sold with all proceeds going
to the Leader In Me program at Moss Street Elementary School.
Based on the book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey, the program equips students with the self-confidence
and skills they need to thrive in the 21st century economy. The
Chamber would like to thank our sponsors, volunteers and patrons
for all their support. It is because of the generous supporters that
the Leader In Me program will continue for another year.
