Bergensbanen runs for 308 miles, taking six and a half
hours to cross some of Europe's most inhospitable
terrain. It was built between 1875 and 1909 and, as you
might expect for a line that climbs to 1200m, building
the line was not easy. 182 tunnels had to be carved out
of the inhospitable terrain.

Walking Tour. Stay the night onboard the

Pass. Visit Vigeland Park to see the 200
sculptures
DAY 18 – A free morning before going to
the airport .
Opened in May 2013 on Stockholm’s leafy
Djurgården island, Melody offers a calm, less-touristy
base from which to explore the Swedish capital. The
Abba museum can be entered directly from the
hotel while the Gröna Lund amusement park, the
Swedish Music Hall of Fame and Skansen, one of the
world’s oldest museums, are also nearby.

Commissioned by Tsar Peter the Great (1672–1725)
as "a window looking into Europe," St. Petersburg
is a planned city whose elegance is reminiscent of
Europe's most alluring capitals. Little wonder it's
the darling of fashion photographers and travel
essayists today. Built on more than a hundred
islands in the Neva Delta linked by canals and
arched bridges, it was called the "Venice of the
North"
