Those wanting to discover some of the heritage in the forest may want to check out some of the many award winning gardens, museums and historic houses. Then, for the excitement seekers, the adventure parks are always an adrenaline-fuelled option. Or, if you just want to relax, then why not stroll around one many castles or manors in the area followed by a relaxing amble along the many miles of beach. You can explore the New Forest by car, on foot or by bike – you can even hire canoes and kayaks and see what it looks like from the Beaulieu River. One of the best places to start if you want to plan your visit is the main tourist information site at www.thenewforest.co.uk . The Master Builders is of course part of the extraordinary and beautiful Buckler’s Hard, an 18th century shipbuilding village, where the master shipbuilder Henry Adams designed, built and launched many fine naval and merchant vessels, some of which formed part of Nelson’s navy. For more details, why not visit www.bucklershard.co.uk . Buckler’s Hard is in turn part of the magnificent Beaulieu Estate, with its legendary National Motor Museum, the magnificent Beaulieu Palace House and a host of other attractions – see www.beaulieu.co.uk for more details. A short drive away, lie the magnificent Exbury Gardens, with their 200 acres of woodland garden – and you can even take a 20 minute steam railway journey through the gardens on the Rhododendron Line. See www.exbury.co.uk . Elsewhere in the New Forest there are country and wildlife parks, activity centres, cruises (and canoeing) on the Beaulieu River – the list goes on and on. Why not simply visit us and discover it all for yourself! How to find us The Master Builder’s is located on the edge of Beaulieu estate. We’re not that easy to find but that’s what’s great about us! You could put our postcode SO42 7XB into your Sat Nav and follow the instructions. If that doesn’t work, from the M27 junction2 follow signs to Beaulieu. Turn left onto the B3056 and then left to Buckler’s Hard – the hotel is 2 miles along on the left.
