They have learned a lot throughout the five years in FFA, and are ready for their next chapter in life. Ag Exploration, Agriscience I, Agriscience II, Intro to Agricultural Leadership, Agricultural Leadership and Ag Power and Technology are the classes offered. Students are given the opportunity to learn about the agricultural industry as well as attend FFA activities. Agriscience II Intro to Ag Leadership Fourteen Owasso FFA members are showing cattle this year. The newly built cattle barn is a blessing to everyone involved, and these students are very grateful. They are ready for a fantastic year of showing and growing their potential. Within the past year, we have finished the new 50 x 100 pole barn that will allow proper shelter for show cattle projects while accommodating additional growth. Little did we know 35 year ago, that this facility would be right in the middle is educating today’s youth about the importance of America’s most vital industry! We would like to take this opportunity to thank the business community, parents, supporters and students that have formed the vision and blazed the trail for continued success. If not for their drive, dedication, and work ethic we would not be where we are today, nor experience the successes our students are accomplishing. The impact they have made has created a legacy and will have a long lasting impact on current and future students. Tradition is alive and well as Owasso FFA Builds the Future. of one of our nation’s fastest growing communities. But as it turns out, this couldn’t have been a better location. Since the beginning of construction to our present day projects, this facility continues to provide an opportunity to many students that won’t find one of its kind anywhere else. In the 1950s, this very community was home to nearly 300 dairy farms. Agricultural life was the heart and soul of this small, rural Green Country town. Giving back and seeing the impact the donation made was humbling,” says Cook. Angie Gains, Marketing Manager for the food bank speaks fondly of Zadies’ generosity. “It’s always great to see the next generation step up and continue to help the community and make Oklahoma a better place,” Gains says. Since the donation, Zadie Cook has become better informed about the issue of hunger in Oklahoma. She knows more about the struggles so many families face.
