Aktive Wheelchair Holiday in Tenerife

On 11 October 2014, the Canary Island foundation for mental health “En Pie” will
organize the second charity kayaking event in Tenerife. The Mar y Sol Spa & Sport Hotel
is happy to support this initiative once again and put Gerda Pamler and Irmgard Bruck on
the starting line on behalf of the hotel.
Gerda Pamler is a para-Olympic mono-skiing winner and has been the slalom water ski
record holder and world jumping champion for many years. Irmgard Bruck was the first
German para-canoeing champion. Around this event these sportswomen plan an active
wheelchair holiday and would like to encourage other active wheelchair users to join
them. The barrier-free holiday residence will be, of course, the Spa & Sport Hotel Mar y
Sol and the idea is to rent an adapted car and discover the beautiful spots of Tenerife as
well as to enjoy a range of different activities.
It will be an active holiday and there will be very special sport and fun activities on offer
as e.g. a quad tour through the National Park of Mount Teide, get-into surf lessons, a Jet
Ski safari, paragliding in a tandem flight and kayaking tours with snorkeling.
