The National MS Society’s biggest ride is still the best,
with a new title sponsor and a new finish line site
Larkin Hoffman is proud to be the new title sponsor of the
28th annual MS 150 Bike Tour. Since 1958, our firm has served
the legal and business counseling needs of our clients. While we
are committed to providing our clients with practical solutions
to business issues, we are equally committed to serving the communities in which we work.
We look forward to working with the National MS Society, Minnesota Chapter in creating a
successful event. Larkin Hoffman is busy assembling our team and we look forward to seeing
you at the starting line. - Peter Coyle, president, Larkin Hoffman
The Minnesota Chapter is pleased to announce that the
National Sports Center in Blaine will be the new finish line for
the Larkin Hoffman MS 150.The National Sports Center will
provide our participants with a safer, shorter ride on Sunday
and allow us plenty of space for registration, parking, truck loading and unloading and our
finish line dinner. You’ll feel the excitement as you roll down our new finish line chute that’s
more than 1,000 feet long!
Join me, Moon, from KS95 at 7 p.m. Saturday night. I’ll be your emcee for
the “Halfway Show.” It’s American Idol,The Gong Show and Project Runway
all rolled into one—MS Society style. So bring your talent and your best
Simon Cowell impression for the infamous Team competitions. And don’t
miss your chance to meet the one-and-only Jessica Symptom and learn
about MS during the hottest new game show “Name that Symptom.”
The MS Society will have announcements including an up-to-the minute
weather forecast for Sunday’s ride. So come on over—no need to worry
about your sweat marks, helmet hair and bow legs—because that’s what
it’s all about.

Tour details
For your
safety, all riders
are required to
wear helmets.
Route maps
One map per rider may be picked up at any check-in location. Maps also are available to
download at www.ms150.com. Be sure to pay attention to our two key route changes:
1. Saturday, when leaving Willow River, follow the newly-paved Highway 61 through
Sandstone to Hinckley.
Keeping you safe
Please read the MS Bike Tour safety brochure.
You will be asked to sign the waiver
indicating you read the safety information
and will follow the rules of the event.
Safety smart
If you experience an emergency on
the event, call 911 immediately. For a
non-emergency, call 612-335-7996.
Ride marshals
A special team of cyclists called ride marshals
provide support on the tour. They offer
mechanical help along the route, monitor
cycling safety and etiquette, and can be
identified by red jerseys.
Severe weather
The Larkin Hoffman MS 150 will go on rain or
shine. But if you experience severe weather
while you are riding, seek shelter immediately.
Remember to always carry identification,
emergency contact information, an insurance
card and any important health diagnosis.
Remember, drinking alcohol or taking
drugs that could impair your ability to ride
safely is forbidden. Please wait to drink
alcoholic beverages at the overnight site.
1
2. Sunday, leave the trail south of Wyoming and follow the route through Lino Lakes
to the National Sports Center.
Parking
Weekend parking is available at the National Sports Center or Proctor High School near
Duluth. Please carpool if possible. When being dropped off, look for the designated “drop
off” area. Remove valuables from your car – parking is at your own risk.
Transportation to Proctor High School
Friday

Sports Center in Blaine. Although trucks will arrive earlier, volunteers will not be on site to
begin loading until 2 p.m. Buses and trucks will leave as they fill. The last bus will leave for
Proctor at 7 p.m. Friday.
Sunday
Riders returning to Proctor on Sunday are offered bus rides and bicycle transportation at
2:30 or 5:30 p.m. from the National Sports Center. Northern riders who are not on the bus
by 5:30 p.m. Sunday are responsible for their own transportation to Proctor.
Tune up your bike
Please have your bike tuned at a sponsoring dealer before you arrive. Bike tune-ups are
not available on the tour. Remember, this is the busy season for your favorite bike mechanic.
If you take your bike sooner rather than later, you’ll have a better chance of getting your
biked tuned up before the event.

may pick up a star at any check-in location.
