Rebecca Eldridge is one of a limited number of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) teachers worldwide to receive full teacher certification through the Center for Mindfulness at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has taught mindfulness to cancer survivors, people in chronic pain, medical and mental health professionals, lay ministers, monastics, and online to people throughout the US and beyond. Rebecca is also a with her teacher, Pema Chödrön founding board member of the Integrative Medicine Community of Coastal Virginia (IMCCV). Her own meditation practice is guided by her teacher, Pema Chödrön, and she has been featured giving meditation instruction in two online courses taught by Pema Chödrön: Making Friends with Yourself and How to Live with Compassion and Courage. Before beginning her work in mindfulness, she taught literature and creative writing and worked as an information developer in the tech field. Ben Thacker-Gwaltney received his 200 hour YTT certificate in 2014 from Body Balance Yoga Studio. He also builds boats with Tidewater Small Craft and manages a database for the non-profit, Virginia Organizing. Ben holds a degree in Religious Studies from the College of William & Mary as well as a Master of Divinity from Emory University. He studied meditation under Mark Oberman at the former Joshua Tree center in Charlottesville. He leads meditation groups in Williamsburg and is the coordinator for the Williamsburg Buddhist Meditation Meetup. In yoga practice, Ben teaches gentle and intermediate yoga classes, and he regularly leads class series focusing on Yoga for Arthritis.
