august 2013 light Rail RIDE GUIDE Retail Locations There are nearly 800 retail locations where you can purchase your pass before boarding. Purchase passes at most valleywide locations of the following stores: How to Ride 1 Plan your trip using the online trip planner at valleymetro.org or Google Transit. 2 Buy a transit pass at light rail stations, many transit centers, retail outlets or online. For a list of retail locations, visit valleymetro.org. 3 Activate your pass before boarding. Keep your pass as proof of payment. Platinum Pass/U-Pass users, validate before each trip by touching your card to the orange target at a fare vending machine. • Walgreens 4 Signs on the front and side of the train show the train’s final destination. Passes can also be purchased at participating: 5 Trains stop at every station. Upcoming stops are announced on the train. • 7-Eleven • Circle K • Corner Store (formerly Valero) • Food City (select locations only) • Fry's Food Store • PLS Check Cashers • Safeway • APS locations • Public libraries • Transit centers Not all pass types are sold at every location. Please contact the location prior to traveling to check availability of passes and types of payment accepted. Valley Metro park-and-rides are for daily transit use only; parking for more than 24 hours is prohibited and can result in towing. The 1-Ride fare is automatically activated upon purchase and will be time stamped for two hours. Proof of eligibility is required. 6 To pay, select credit or debit card, or insert cash or coins. Bills larger than $20 are not accepted. Remove your passes and pick up your change and/or receipt.
