Retail Locations
There are nearly 800 retail locations
where you can purchase your pass before
boarding. Purchase passes at most valleywide locations of the following stores:

Plan your trip using the online trip planner
at valleymetro.org or Google Transit.

Buy a transit pass at light rail stations,
many transit centers, retail outlets or
online. For a list of retail locations, visit
valleymetro.org.

Activate your pass before boarding. Keep
your pass as proof of payment. Platinum
Pass/U-Pass users, validate before each
trip by touching your card to the orange
target at a fare vending machine.

park-and-ride
Along the rail alignment there are nine Parkand-ride locations where customers can park
their vehicle for free, and access Valley Metro
Light Rail. Valley Metro park-and-rides are for
daily transit use only; parking for more than 24
hours is prohibited and can result in towing.

Fares
Light rail, local bus and LINK share the same
fare structure and all pass types can be
purchased from light rail fare vending machines.

Select the number of passes you wish to
buy.

Select “Activate” now (if you are planning
to ride immediately) or wait to activate
to use at a later date. The 1-Ride fare is
automatically activated upon purchase
and will be time stamped for two hours.

* The 1-Ride fare is valid for a single trip on bus or light
rail, not both. 1-Ride fares purchased through the fare
vending machines are good for light rail only.
** Reduced fare is valid for youths 6 through 18, seniors
65 and older, persons with disabilities and Medicare
cardholders only. Proof of eligibility is required.

Airport Connection
Connect to Phoenix Sky Harbor International

Passengers traveling to Terminals 2, 3 and West
Economy parking will need to exit at Terminal 4
and board the silver Phoenix airport shuttle bus
to continue to their destinations. Valley Metro
park-and-rides are for daily transit use only;
parking for more than 24 hours is prohibited and

Valley Metro customers using public transit are given equal
access to programs and services without regard to race,
color, disability or national origin in accordance with Title VI
of the Civil Rights Act.
Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by
any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a
complaint with Valley Metro.
All complaints received by Customer Service are
documented and assigned to the appropriate transit staff
for investigation in accordance with federal standards (28
CFR, Part 35 and FTA Circular 4702.1A). After the complaint
is processed, a response (if requested) is sent to the
customer filing the complaint and appropriate corrective
action is taken.
