THE INTERNATIONAL MEETING PLACE
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
Over its 30-year history, FotoFest’s Meeting Place portfolio review has been a
launching pad for the careers of hundreds of photographic artists. Many artists
have been discovered by this program and many reviewers have found new talent
to exhibit, publish, collect, and represent.
In 2014, FotoFest brings 150 curators, editors, publishers, gallerists, collectors,
and photo agency representatives to review the work of 500 registered artists.
As reflected in this catalogue, the artists come from 32 different countries. The
artists express themselves in myriads of photographic mediums and genres. The
artwork ranges from landscape to portraits and documentary images, from silver
gelatin prints to digital collage. These modes of photography reflect the varied
interests and cultural backgrounds of the artists participating in the 2014 Meeting
Place.
This catalogue includes images, websites, and email addresses for the 2014
Meeting Place Registered Artists. We hope you will use this catalogue as a visual
reference as well as a reminder of the work that was shown at the 2014 Meeting
Place.
We hope that this program will be beneficial to you as well as to everyone who
participated in the portfolio reviews. As always, we appreciate your help, support
and shared passion of the international photographic arts.
