If you’re not REBUYING
You’re not RECYCLING
Recycling is a 3-STEP process:
1. Collect your recyclables and take them to the nearest collection facility or put them out for curbside collection. Processors clean and prepare the recycled material for use by manufacturers.
2. Manufacturers make new products from the collected materials.
3. Consumers purchase recycled content products and, if suitable, put them back into recycling collection
programs
Don’t let a good thing go to waste

Litter Prevention
Litter is an environmental hazard and improperly contained household garbage is one of the eight main
sources of litter in communities. College Station believes litter to be an environmental priority.
Windblown litter reduces the aesthetic appeal of public places including neighborhood streets, parks, and
waterways. Help us control litter!
Bag & Tie so Trash Won’t Fly!
Adopt-A-Street
The Adopt-A-Street program provides residents the opportunity to enhance the look of
their community by beautifying and maintaining a street or section of a street. Any individual, group, organization, association or business that would like to help keep our streets
and environment clean can participate.
Adopt-A-Greenway
Through the Adopt-A-Greenway program, the City of College Station in partnership with Keep Brazos Beautiful provides an opportunity for residents and businesses to play an active role in cleaning and beautifying our
open spaces, creeks and multi-use paths/trails.
Leave it Lawn!
College Station supports the Don’t Bag It! Lawn care program by encouraging citizens to leave grass clippings on the lawn.
