Riders organized in
1988, forming the Iowa
ATV Association (
IOHVA ). Partnering
with Iowa DNR to start a
ATV registration
program for future
funding.
In 1998 there were no legal public riding
areas in the State.
At that time the State of Iowa
would not allow riding on State
owned property.
