Campus Features:
The Academic Building contains
eighteen classrooms, a library,
a 400 seat auditorium and two
computer labs. A new cafeteria building. Male and Female
residence dormitory with 40
double occupancy rooms, three
separate lounges, laundry facility
and kitchen area for students use. The focal point of athletics on
campus is the new gym. The gym
allows for basketball, volleyball,
badminton and indoor soccer, in
addition to a racquetball court
and weight room. Further campus
amenities include: bowling alley,
indoor swimming pool, swimming
and fishing lake, billiard and ping
pong tables, tennis courts, 3
soccer fields, 2 baseball fields, 2
football fields, indoor and outdoor
tracks.
Special Programs:
In Catholic Education it is vital
that we not only educate in the
classroom but also outside the
classroom. The Service Project is
designed so each of our students
complete authentic service,
meaning they are doing an act
of service expecting nothing in
return, only for the purpose of
giving time and talent to another. Each student is expected to
complete 20 hours.
College Placement:
98% of graduates attend
colleges. Recent acceptances
include: Baylor University, Boston
College, Boston University,
Cornell University, Northwestern
University, Purdue University,
Rochester Institute of Technology,
Texas A & M University, University
of Wisconsin, Washington
University
Marking System:
Progress reports packets are sent
home 4 weeks into the school
year with login information to
access the student’s on line grade
book. Printed reports are sent
out quarterly. The school uses
Power School that permits parents
to log in daily to check on their
student’s grades and progress
throughout the year.

Location:Located in historic Atchison, Kansas, the school sits on a
beautiful150-acre campus of picturesque fields and rolling hills.
As a college preparatory school, Maur Hill-Mount Academy is
steeped in the 1500 year Benedictine tradition of work and
love of learning. The Academy’s ultimate goal is to assist every
student to achieve their unique potential.

school and on weekends usually include swimming, volleyball,

plays, concerts, movies, bowling, tours of museums, shopping
trips. On special weekends a trip to an amusement park or
professional baseball game are often arranged.

Benedictine College.
