Lunch day n o M - Grad Committee (see Ms. Dowdall) After School - “Good Times Games Club” -Jazz Band - Football - Boys Volleyball - Girls Basketball Every year SFDCI participates in the Terry Fox Run. This year about 300 students signed up and our school raised about $2500. The run/walk was 5 km long, following a path from Smiths Falls to Lower Reach and back. The top senior boy was Turner Onion, in grade 11, with a time of 19:50 Lunch sday e u and the top senior girl was Hannah Gaensler, in grade 12, with a time of T -Art club 20:46. The top junior boy was Ben Ireland, in grade 10, with a time of After School 24:02 and the top junior girl was Bree Peladeau, in grade 9, with a time of - Senior Band 25:55. The other students who finished in the top eleven were: Mitchell - Football Clemmens, Nick Larabie, Kyle Nayler, Garrett Closs, Kurtis Reeves, Nick - Cross Country McGonegal, Quinton Stribling and Sam Campbell. Mrs. Drouin would - Girls Basketball like to thank the Sound and Light members, the ladies in the office, Mme. Lefebvre for doing the barbeque, the people who helped count money ay Lunch d s e and anyone else who assisted with the very successful day for a good n -Environmental Club Wed cause! Way to go Redhawks!! After School -Students’ Council Meeting -Football -Boys Volleyball -Girls Basketball HOMECOMING DANCE! This Friday September 30th! The fantastic grade nine party is from 5:30-7:00. The cost for the party, INCLUDING free pizza and the dance is $5. The dance itself is from 7pm-10pm and the cost is $10. Be sure to wear your casual red and white clothes! Both of the boys football teams defeated CPHS under the lights last Thurs. night. Nice work boys! ay rsd u h T The senior band rehearsing last Tuesday night. TURKEY BOWL Next Saturday, October 8th! This is the annual Thanksgiving Weekend football game. It is taking place on OCTOBER 8TH at noon here at SFDCI. More information to come next week! Cross Country in Ottawa. -Junior Band -Girls Basketball -Cross Country -Boys Volleyball - Reach for the Top -Football -Girls Basketball -Homecoming Dance 7-10pm, $10 COMING UP ON OCTOBER 8TH, 2011 FREE ELECTRONICS RECYCLING DEPOT- COMMUNITY EVENT. From 9am- 11am Last year at this annual event, 5 tonnes of electronic waste was recycled in 2 hours. The elctronics recycling depot is being run by the SFDCI Environmental Club. It is taking place in the Front Parking Lot of SFDCI. You don’t have to clear the hard drive or any information off of items as they are broken up into tiny pieces and recycled. For information about types of electronics that can be recycled go to tter.ca . Even the items that say they cost money to recycle are free because this is a community event!
