We hope you will join us in the gym for this important meeting regarding the future of NCA.

NOTES FROM THE NURSE
huge thank you
A
to the family who donated Saltine crackers and Sprite to the nurse’s office.
Your gift will be greatly appreciated by all students and staff.
In the event that you need to contact the Nurse’s office, please dial the school number (281-359-1090) as
the nurse does not have a direct line. We understand there has been confusion when parents attempt to
return a call from the nurse based on the caller ID on their phone. All calls need to come through the main
NCA number (281-359-1090). Thank you.
Pilar Evans, R.N.
SPRING ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
NCA Families
We are pleased to announce our Spring 2015 After School Enrichment Programs. We have added several
new programs this semester which include:
Bricks4Kidz - This program is for K-2nd grade students. Students will use science, technology, engineering and mathematics to learn as they build projects with Lego Bricks. Three sessions are offered with
different themes. Students can register for one, two or all three sessions as they each have a different
theme.
Cook, Learn and Grow - If your child LOVES to cook, then this program is for them. This 4 week food
literacy program teaches age appropriate cooking techniques, food origins, seasonal receipes and kitchen
safety while having yummy hands-on fun. Two sessions are offered for different grade levels (K-2 and
3-5).
Teddy Tennis - this program is a fantastic FUN way to encourage children to get active and learn to play
tennis. It is only offered in the spring and is for students PK-Kindergarten.
We also have our returning favorites: CH Basketball Clinic led by Coach John Herndon, Gymnastics, Tae
Kwon Do, Mad Science, Lego Robotics, Art Club, Spirit Squad and Showtime Kids.
These classes have different starting dates with some beginning the week of January 26. Registration is
limited in some classes so register early. Enrollment forms are available at the Front Desk. Please do not
include payment with your enrollment forms until we notify you that we have reached the minimum
enrollment in classes. REGISTRATIONS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, JANUARY 23.
We look forward to a great spring of after school enrichment programs. For more information contact Mrs.
Wiggins at [email protected].
