What is the Toronado
Owners Association?
The Toronado Owners Association is a group of
enthusiasts who believe that Oldsmobile was in front
of all its competition when they built the first modern
era front-wheel drive passenger vehicle, back in 1966.
We love the Toronado, from the first year of 1966 to
the final production run in 1992, and its successor, the
Aurora. Our club exists to share the pride of owning
such a wonderful vehicle, to ensure that as many of
these fine cars survive as possible, and to assist their
owners in keeping these marvels of engineering on
the road.
The Front Wheel Driver magazine
provides news and information on all generations of
Toronados. The FWD was awarded the Golden Quill
by Old Car Weekly magazine in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Why should I join
the Toronado Owners
Association?
What is required
to become a member
of the TOA?
Here are a few of the many benefits to joining:
n A 16 page bi-monthly part-color magazine,
the Front Wheel Driver documents owners’
restorations, provides informative technical
information, Toronado related news, and also
classified ads of available vehicles, parts for sale,
parts wanted, restoration services, etc. We also
feature articles on Toronado history.
n Free placement of a Toronado-related classified
ad (car for sale, car wanted, parts for sale, parts
wanted, literature, etc.) for publication in each
issue and on our website
n Technical Support; there are fellow members
who can help you when you run into trouble. We
have a group of Technical Advisors for specific
model years and for many major mechanical areas
(Comfortron, carburetors, etc.) who are available
to answer your questions.
n Access to a members-only section of the TOA
website (www.toronado.org/Members) where the
membership roster (find Toronado owners in your
area), technical articles, etc. are posted.
n Parts access; find out who has what parts available
for your Toronado.
n Find out what’s original and what is not on
your vehicle. See what other owners have
done to their cars.
n Since Toronado owners are scattered all over the
world, the TOA brings this group together and
provides resources and information so that no
collector/owner has to “go it alone”.
Ownership of a Toronado is NOT required for
membership in the TOA. (After all, if you like
the Toronado, membership in the club is the
best way to find the perfect vehicle!) We are an
independent club, not affiliated with any other
car club. Many of our members belong to the
Oldsmobile Club of America. We encourage such
dual membership. Membership in another club
is NOT a requirement to belong to the Toronado
Owners Association
What does it cost
to belong?
We believe that the benefits of membership are
worth far more than the cost of dues. Membership
in the TOA is on an annual basis. New members
receive the current magazine issue and the next
five issues each year. Annual membership is $35
(USA 3rd class mail), $41 (USA 1st class mail)
and $41USD (Foreign) via money order, check
drawn on a US Bank, or via PayPal®. Membership
applications are available at www.toronado.org or
fill out the short questionnaire on the reverse side
of this brochure.
